In NBA LIVE 10, we have the ability to assign specific shot arc types to individual players with the goal to have every player in the NBA with their signature shot arc. If you have any feedback, video reference or recommendations on shot arcs for specific players, please post in this thread!

I would like to know if the fundamental shooting style of Tim Duncan's bank shot is going to be on there? Also, Yao Ming's high post turn around shot.

i am cerious about lay-ups hitting the backboard

Live 09 was and is a great game but it was snubed in the Ratings from the media and i think the lay-ups not hitting the backbaord played a major part in it.

Its not unfair because it is basics of basketball but its unfourtinate because videogame ratings from such places such as GameInformer and IGN have the biggest impact on the sale of almost all videogames

the signature shot arc types sounds like a great addition, but also in live 09, 99 percent of every jumpshot hit all net....no toilet bowls....back irons...or rattling around the rim or even bank shots, u could tell if the shot was going in or not right when the player released it...another thing is i think the user needs to be able to have controll over the release of the shot, quick or late, like live in the past on current gen.for instance i should be able to travel if i pressed and held the shot button without releasing it.i could hold the shot button without releasing it and the player would still release the ball at the same time he would as if i had did a pefect release at the top of the jumper...

This has been fixed my man.

first of all guys like vladimir radmanovic have ridiculous arc on their shot. wades freethrows are flat and extremely low. beasleys shot is flat. derek fishers shot is high arcing.

umm i kno this is off topic but when do we get more info about nba live? so i kno wat month to look forward to

Agree, besides looking at the bank shots. There are usually some shots that rolls on the rims, bounces around, and sometimes it can bounce so high. It can touch the top of the backboard or *** clock to be sometimes ruled out.

Another thing that I am wondering. If Jason Williams comes back to the NBA which he's been trying to return, but they're denying him on coming back this season because of the retirement. He is one of the players that usually shoot rainbow shots from a far distance. Would his arc be on the game?

As for other signature *** arc types. Is there any way that the floaters or tear drop shots be a little bit tweaked? Certain players has a style on shooting it high off the backboard for the defender to block it. Sometimes taking a chance on missing the *** too with that high arc. Especially, for players that does or have the option to do reverse layups in the game too.

I like the idea of the X-Factor, but besides Dwayne Wade. You got Chauncey Billups who can do pull-up shots not on certain fast breaks, but the way he can controls his team where it looks like he's calling out a play. Then out of nowhere he just pulls on you.

There should also be better shot animations, and multiple shot animations for the stars, such as tear drops and running layups.
Like Kobe's fadeaway jumper, if you watch it in real life, it looks really different in nba live 09.
