Hey guys,

We’re off to record with Marv and Steve for a couple of days in about a week and a half to get stuff for NBA LIVE 10. Before we lock down the scripts I was wondering what sorts of things you’d like to hear this year, including new stuff or replacing old stuff. We’ll start a thread and any sort of feedback you guys could provide would be awesome. It can be as big as ‘capture new stuff for dunks’ or as small as ‘capture something new for a bounce pass so we don’t hear “on the hop” every time’ (that’s my personal pet peeve). Also, if there are certain things that you’d like to hear in specific arenas let us know.

I have an idea for the players you guys can't get that much audio on. If I were to play as the Lakers in my dynasty, every single game I would hear about Kobe having a dad who played in the NBA, and so on.

Maybe if you guys are not able to record multiple tracks for one player, you should play them on a certain basis, instead of every single game.

Just my 2 cents

make the pistons pa announcer the new pa voice of the game

when players dunk the sort of glide a little, if you could cut that out it'll be great. also the dunk contest is far to arcady, if you could make that more realistic lik you would c in a real dunk competition (more realistic dunks, and no slow motion) that that'll b great as well

I would want like if your in dynasty and you player is leading the league in scoring or mvp votes I would like to hear them say it.

The intensity of the commentary really needs to be increased during close and/or really exciting games.

No comments about pressing the wrong button or videogame references.

Statistically based performance comments based on a player, group of players, or team's performances, whether that performance is hot or cold during the last few minutes, an entire quarter or half.

I would eventually like to see that done based on recent performances, or lack of performance, during the past few games and/or weeks and/or a playoff series and/or a season series. This type of commentary could make dynasty mode really fresh, and could also be added to the DNA feature when playing online games or rewind games.

Have Marv and Steve recap game statistics as they are displayed at the end of the game and comment on stats and other information displayed on in-game overlays.

As of now, most commentary in games is a reactive commentary. Maybe adding some proactive commentary or changing when and where some of the audio triggers are placed could improve the flow in some places.

Thank YOU! this is a great idea to feadback on.. u shuld make the commentaryy more realstic, like IN NBA 2k9 the have the gatorade thing where they tell us wat the coaches said and inside news on palyer injuries as well. AND ALSO THIS is big you guyz should make like the sounds and songs like they do in a real arena like the defece song is diffrent at every arena (e.g. In the conseco Feild house it goes like damm dammm and then sounds of cars they did that in 2k it sounded real.! Also u guyz should also focus on the Raptors too. u guyz some times forget bout them. and like when u play in detroit the announcer goes like DEEETROOOIT....... BIII BALLL some thing like that you should focus on the areans !! also mike and steve should reveiw any news about a player before the tip. like in danaysty mode palyers will get injured and things like payers moving from bench to starter! Even if a player has been hot latley liek Kobe Bryant has bee averaging 30 pts per game over the last week! they should say stuff like that

[b] I would really love to see a more realistic sim game for nba live 10. I have been playing basketball games since the 25cent machines in the 80's and I really think 2k has had the best attempt to make a game feel real. I know that the talent you guys have at EA can really make a more competitve product that feels more real. I'm excited to hear that one of 2k's ex-developers is on board with you guys for the new game , I can't wait to get a sneek peak.... good luck ( reganera ) on xbox360

Maybe some "emotional" commentary, so when a dunk happens, they could respond in unison. Or if a game is going to the wire, the emotion of the commentators will actually show that a game is close. How about a "first name database", so the commentators can say the first name of a created player.

I honestly would like to hear some Did You Know, or just some plain interesting facts about certain players. Especially, with some of the players from FIBA like Theo Papolukis, Josh Childress, Pau & Marc Gasol, etc.

Just a small question... I was wondering why Steve Kerr is doing commentary on the game, and he's now the GM of the Phoenix Suns? Are we also going to hear other analysts too from ESPN or NBC?

How about when a team is forced to call timeout. The commetary should go on about why the timeout was called:

Marv (excited, while the crowd's going nuts): " The Celtics have gone on a 9 nothing run and Phil Jackson... wants to talk it over."

Or when the home team has gone wild and forced a timeout have Marv say:

"The Cavaliers have run off 13 unanswered, listen to this crowd.... (and then pauses for a few seconds)"


Also:

More commentary about particular players who are among league leaders in your current season.

Mentioning when a team wraps up a playoff spot or wins the division in season mode.

Good one : Talk about key players who are out due to injury in season mode even though they're not even playing. How this makes the team different and when he should be back.

During slow moments (like free throw shots or timeouts) talk about "whats coming up at the half."

what up live dev.team im a huge nba live fan you guys need 2 take steve kerr out an put bob costa's in with marv albert,just think bout da playoff's in jordan pippen majic,bird etc, back in the good days,with costa sayn the greatest alll time name JORDAN ,PIPPEN,IN DA PLAYOFFS AND FINALS,nothing better then saying those name's and put sideline commentary.
