This basically happens with almost any higher speed car that has been upgraded to the max. Whether Works or just fully maxed out cars, it seems like they are out of control on the track, bouncing like crazy over small bumps.
This issue needs to be looked at the MOST out of anything...I can deal with the flag girl spawning inside my car, or floating grass, but this bouncing makes the game unplayable...
Perfect example, the Porsche Carerra GT @ SPA invitational event. Try it for yourself. At turn 1 you can literally end up bouncing right off of the track! Worst part is, it's an invitational event, so you can't tune the car.
It clearly seems to be an error in the game and not in players' tuning preferences.
Look into it with all cars/tracks, as any of them could be affected. I've had it happen with all of the BMW's, the Carerra GT, the Koenigsegg (spelling) CCX, the Bugatti Veyron, and many more.
Thanks for acknowledging the issues and looking into this! This is a great game with a lot of potential, but the bouncing really ruins it if you want to progress anywhere beyond Tier 2...

@VancouverBlade
Thanks for making a patch for the damage. Other problems I have on the ps3 are:
- I would love to have X for acceleration and square for braking in the control options. I really don't like changing
gears with square and triangle. Or even having to use the right analog stick to accelerate/brake.
- Once the screen was black when starting a race, restarting the race fixed it.
- Another really important thing I can think of is the handling with some cars:
The first time I had a Ford GT40 I had a big problem with it. It simply won't let you counter steer.
When you take a corner to the right and the car starts to slide you can simply keep turning to the right and keep
giving full throttle. Which isn't natural at all IMO for a central engine rear wheel drive car.
You should at least spin out if you keep turning in the corner when the car starts to slide and having
the ability to counter steer would fix this.
- The bouncy car thing.
- Some people seem to have problems completing the carreer mode because they can't add more than 3 cars or
something, I haven't experienced this yet.
If all these things get fixed the game will deserve the great reviews IMO. Many thanks to reply in the forums here.

Thank you for informing us that EA will actually support and Patch a game such as NFS PS3.
I am loving the game so far, except as I unlocked Tier3, and bought that yellow Porche and tried my first race with it in the European series (Willow Springs I think) where the track consisted of many hairpin turns linked together, I thought it was me who couldnt drive! Glad to hear there are bumpy ride issues with many players, as I quickly thought that the Porche was real crap to drive!
Looking forward to the update(ss), Will be playing Dirt2 till then.

I've noticed this a few times but most noticeable at Turn 1 (bottom of Eau Rouge) at Spa in the Carrera GT invitational event. Unless you go through at around 40mph you bounce sideways (to the left) off into the wall. I've also had it in a heavily modified GT40 at Silverstone at Bridge corner. This too is uphill thinking about it, don't know if that's coincidence or not.
I am on a PS3 using Logitech DFP if that helps.

Here's a video that shows the effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NFdXu4Bumk
Spa is a track where it occurs very clearly, use a Tier 3 or higher car with all upgrades (especially the L3 ones) to witness it.

And here's another video showing there's something 'not quite right' about the car physics.

LOL that, and the bouncing video above it, are hilarious. What platform is this on? Haven't noticed these on my PS3 version.

Just press start on the controller and restart the race, the sound will be there then...
I have had the " driving under the car in front " thing happen to me too, and i am on the ps3.

Thanks for all the comments. I sent out a summary of these last night to the game teams so they're aware of it. I'll let you know what comes from this.

That is a perfect example of a gMotor physics engine car with bogus spring/rebound/shock values.
I bet its a problem along the lines of a single car having custom suspension settings updating all cars and the incorrect values result in what you see there.
At least it should be easily fixed.
