And I write this again - THIS BETA IS NOT MEANT TO BE PERFORMANCE WISE. It's main purpose is to stress test net code and overall balance. Is this is so hard to understand? Even when you start it you have such warning. But what do I know Just crack your head further...

I just use my sennheiser headphones, provides great situational audio. For me it made the difference between playable and not playable, so yea.

its the refresh rate for the monitor, your seems to be set to 75Hz
I know, but it should say 75, not 74.984001

I'm just trying to help those with poor FPS to obtain a playable rate sherlock holmes.

Running a AMD Phenom 9950 2.6GHz Quad Core with a ASUS GeForce GTX 280 1GB.
Everything set to HIGH. AA at 1x and AF set to 2x. HBAO or what ever its called set to OFF.
System is running smooth with 50 to 70 FPS.
I over shot the system requirements. So with that in mind I expected it to run smooth. But in my own opinion I should be getting higher FPS.

It's called tweaking. Everyone complaining about how this game is not optimised and how it won't run on their 9800GT and their 2GHz CPU doesn't seem to understand that system requirements change.
GTX295.
Not a 9800GT and above the recommend requirements for the game.
Way to self-pwn.
Anyway, I did this and I did notice a very, very, very, very small difference. However, the game is still virtually unplayable for me on a server with above 20 people. This is what I've noticed (this is just for me):
1 - 8 players: 50 FPS
9 - 15 players: 30 -49 FPS
16 - 20 players: 25 - 35 FPS
20+ players: 15-20 FPS
As more people come into a server, the lag intensifies. Now, I understand that more is going on, but I'll run away from the battle, look at the ground, and bam. There I am. With 15 FPS, doing nothing, looking at a bland texture on the ground, with my graphics all on low...without nothing going on around me. Do the same thing when I'm alone in a server, 90+ FPS. It's tied into the fact that they're testing the net code and crap for the game.
I don't think the game will perform this way once it's released, at least, we can only hope.

You have a very weak CPU in terms of both clocking and general performance so be happy that this title was multi threaded to begin with....if the game didn't support all four of your cores you would surely be seeing a completely unplayable experience now and unless the final product was severely optimized it would have been as unplayable as the beta

This game is definitely acting odd when it comes to different hardware though when you see I7's not even capable of running the title...of course issues like these will surely be fixed soon enough

My system? Lawl. I wish I had a 9800GT. I wouldn't be surprised if I was getting terribad performance because of the hardware in my computer. I'm poor as hell man, I'm lucky to have what I have.
Thing is, people have worse computers than me and can run the game no problem with much better performance, and one of them even has a single core processor.

My bad i thought you said you had a 295
Yes i as well am struck by other users getting playable performance on systems consisting of a sub 3Ghz dual core and an 8800GT/9800GT or similar GPU
I recently switched my OS on my 3.25Ghz dual core and 9800GT rig to XP 64-Bit due to some problems i was having on Windows 7 64-Bit and not that i expected anything to happen the game is just as unplayable as before
I have a hard time believing someone is getting a playable experience on a sub 3Ghz dual core and 8800GT/9800GT whilst my rig with a faster CPU and same GPU can't even maintain 20FPS...i have read someone with a 2.6Ghz dual core and an 8800GT running the game well within a playable FPS range
Maybe these users with poor systems are just totally BSing us though

Guys,
I have to say the CPU makes a big, big difference on performance.
I had E5200 2.5Ghz and could just about play the game, frame rate was about 15 on the lowest settings.
I spent a bit of cash and upgraded to Q8300 2.5Ghz, now I can run everything on medium and have a good frame rate, no lag and I'm having a great time.
Leason learned, get a good CPU.
Rig:
9800GT 1gig
Q8300 2.5Ghz
4 Gig Ram

q6600 quad core 2.4 OC to 2.65ghz, ddr2 4gig dual channel @ 800mhz, 500gb sata 3 hdd 8800 GTS 512 (g92) OC to 735mhz core 1020mhz gddr3
34-60 fps no lag unless i play in a over seas server or NY/Cali server, or (if too many high pingers join a server)
only solution for my lag is block ppl from joining a high ping server,and what i mean is. if they get over say 100 ping don't let them connect. but this is the problem with all games. a 20 pingplayer like my selfe should never play agents a 100 ping player or higher. all 100 ping players should have there own server. for like pings.
say a target moves. all 100 ping players are seeing the same compensation for hits. what this means is 100 ping shooting at a 100 ping player does not make it ad to 200ping it means that both will have to compensate the same. as a 20 ping can get hit with no compensation wial trying to compensating from a 20 ping to a 100 ping would be harder. Its harder cause the 100 ping player "hit box" is moving to the player and bouncing to where the player is not so fast the said 20 pinger cant tell to over shoot or hit the guy where he stands.
two solution's for this make hit box bigger, or make same ping players play with each other.

Two days ago, I tried an experiment. I connected to an empty US Virginia server (@40 ping for me here in NY). My PC is a QC Phenom 9650 @ 2.3 GHz, 7 GB DDR2-800, 1 TB SATA2 HD, and 1GB GTX280 running Win7 x64. All drivers are up-to-date. Here are my Settings.ini, er, settings.
[WindowSettings]
Width=1680
Height=1050
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=60
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=high
VoipEnable=true
[Graphics]
Effects=medium
Soldiers=medium
Vehicles=medium
Overgrowth=medium
Undergrowth=medium
StaticObjects=medium
Terrain=medium
Shadows=medium
Bloom=false
HSAO=false
MSAA=0
Water=medium
MainQuality=custom
Texture=medium
DxVersion=Auto
Aniso=0
Detail=medium
I played an entire round an never saw my frame rate go above 35 FPS.
With any luck, the newly-released build will help this issue. I'll have to try later after work.
