Okay I seen some people talking about this the other day and checked see if I had it on, It turned out I did so I turned it off to see if it made any difference and to my surprise it did, I found myself missing Knife kills from point blank range and there was no noticeable lag in the game.

Does anyone else notice the difference ?

I have switched it back on and low and behold my knife hits again.

I seen no difference in aiming when firing a gun it was just when I got up close and swung the knife.

I've noticed a difference and with aim assist on there is a clear advantage. I'd prefer they not have it in the game but since everyone else is using it I might as well. AIM ASSIST sucks though when there are a bunch of bad guys together because once they start crossing over each other you dont' get enough bullets in one to kill him and then they all turn and shoot at you killing you fast.

Aim assist should be OFF as a default setting on ranked servers... it gives people's bullets a lock on quality, and enables them to: shoot accurately while moving and/or jumping, shoot around covers, and kill you while not even facing you... as well as get bogus no scope kills.... it basically takes a sub par player and makes him average... I play with it off... and actually have to stop moving, aim properly and in some cases burst fire (depending on the weapon)... this is the ultimate noob feature and another example of how dice and EA intended to market this game to casual gamers
AKA noobs....

This is one of those things that just tick me off on console games. So many console games have this feature and it's basically a cheat. No one liked it on counter-strike because those people were obviously cheating. Maybe if it was activated for up to rank 5 or something then after that you loose the autoaim feature. by that time you should know how to aim on the game. To me it's just a cheap and noobish feature.

I didn't know before that you could turn the feature off. When it was on, I was shooting at some guy and one of the enemies ran right past me and the autoaim targeted him instead, that autoaim made me die.

autoaim + shotgun at close range = instant death. If a guy has a shotgun on you at close range with this feature on, you might as well set down the controller. lol

Wow after reading this I realize that mine has been off as I did that when starting the single player mode to make it more fun. I assumed it would automatically turn off anyway during a ranked online match.

No wonder every CQC engagment with a enemy shotgun is lost. Hmmm...I'll be tempted to turn it on now and aimbot w/ everyone else...

oh, well I always use LT, so that may be why, I think I noticed it once when I was gunning someone down with my pistol, but I thought it had something to do with lag at the time since I never really notice it.
