I know its a long post but please read and reply with good or bad comments please! thanks!!
alright the next need for speed game should be the greatest need for speed every!! it should be a combination of almost all need for speed game ever made!! it should have a giant map for free roam! larger than undercover!! with canyon races (like in carbon), race tracks you could drive or jump to (like SHIFT or prostreet), street racing like (underground 1 & 2 and most wanted, carbon, undercover, etc....) pursuits like in most wanted! maybe a heat 7 like the black edition or just make 10 heats or so! make the cop cars on high heats almost impossible to get away from with rolling roadblocks, constant pit maneuvers and ramming and make the cops also attempt to shoot out tires! that would be awesome!!! this game would accompany it all!! you have legal racing for people that like shift and prostreet and illegal racing for those that like the other need for speed games! please make legal and illegal drag racing as well!! a multiplayer free roam would be sweet where hundreds of players are roaming around in a huge city and u can come up and challenge another player and win pinkslips even! also to compete with other racing games the amount of cars and customization needs to be stepped up a little bit! a couple hundred cars and more customizing options would really set need for speed over the top of the competition!!! this would be the greatest game ever!!!!

Enable option for full damage and penalty for ramming other cars when a user create a race online as host. The ram-and-drive cult of today is sort of excluding simulator fans. Pure Arcade or Simulator? You have to make the USER choose.

I wish something like "Most Wanted" and for a change some classic cars from Europe, but not always the extreme power cars like McLaren, Zonda etc.

i think what einklienermench was saying is totally right. i just want to say a few thinks about the races that need to included. the new NFS needs to have all the events from most wanted and carbon, like sprints, circuits, drags, drifts and tollbooth or checkpoints, which ever they call it now. there needs to be a free roam that allows you to drive in and out of several different shops, like in underground 2, and have the ability to get off the streets and go on to racing tracks and race like in prostreet or shift. there has to be rivals with crews to defeat and pinkslips. all of this should be available online to.
i think this plus what einklienermench said would make the best need for speed ever.
feel free anyone to comment back.
please listen to us EA and create the need for speed we all want!!!!

I love police pursuit, City, FREE-ROM
However, I think the idea of Police Pursuit need to be TO DITCH COPCARS
not longer TO KILL COPCARS

Its too hard do something awesome???....in 3 simples words "Back to Undreground".....nobody is happy since "Pro Street", pro street have nice graphs and nice engine sounds (great V8 Hemi), but most wanted have betters.
Look EA, people wants something of realism (Especially in the sensation of FFB, like I said..."good feel of the street and great and soft in the turn of steering wheel"), nobody wants to exercise they arms with the same on ), graphs, great and clear sounds of engines.
Return to the night races, with neons light, changes of lights (like xenons), changes the internal componets (like juiced 2 or midnight club: LA....Example: steering wheels, internal neons, tuning clocks of turbo, oil, water, tachometer, racing seats, pedals, tuning carpets, etc...), a lot of people and cars in both sides of the street in drag races (like "the fast and the furious 1") and a lot of people and cars in the meetings before a races too. The external tunnig like a mix between underground 1, 2 and carbon........and for the finale, introduce the cops, buuuuut they make us circular free for the city, and when we speak about clandestine races.....will be another topic
COME ON GUYS! its not tooo difficult,....and please, please dont call "real feel driving" to NFS SHIFT, its any thing that
bye

Just noticed that the 2010 NFS was confirmed.
With EA having less money and Criterion developing the game,I'm pretty sure its going to be something better than ever.
I hope to see some screenshots and trailers too. Really wondering about the game style.
Since World online (which is going to be the best from underground series in a single game) is being delayed for next year,I'm sure its not going to be Underground 3 or Most Wanted 2 or whatever...its will interfere with World Online. It WON'T be a simulator BECAUSE its made my Criterion..and these people don't make simulators (thank god shift was a nightmare for us,MW and Underground lovers) .
Its going to be oldskool (Hot Pursuit 3,High Stakes 2) or maybe something entirely new.

2) they should take the same idea of that game and add better tracks and cars .
3) they should have street racing and and what ever they had in most wanted.
4) take a company like Mercedes find out its history.
5) it has many cars and a long history .
6) u can make a good game.
7) please we don't want a game like pro street again made.
I Like that
and maybe the SLS could be the main car
now here is what I'd like to have in the new nfs
1. open world
2. cops
3. Manufacture Battle like between the Merc and the Bimmer , for example M6 vs CLK and M3 vs C63
4. Savable Replay
5. Music like Most Wanted and Carbon Style
6. and it would be awesome if the title was (Hot Pursuit 3)
7. Highway Battle from UC
8. No Damage for the engine
9. and lots of cars

Shift is the best NFS ever.
There are only two big mistakes:
- Why am I not able to see what's going on at my sides while playing on my steering wheel whereas I indeed can do it when playing on the pad?
- The crashes are awesome but there's no real damage in the cars, which is really bad when you are trying to get the more realistic experience.

I think they should make it like the best NFS so far - Underground- that was the best NFS by far make it a lot like that, with accents and neon and dyno and all of the features it had, Free Roam, Great Plot, and different sort of races and terrain and surroundings. BUT A LOT MORE VARIETY OF CARS, ALL OF THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT NFS GAME

• You could not only be pursued by the cops, but you could also take the job of a cop. This would open a wide new variety of police cars and game modes.
• MOTORCYCLES!! Just imagine...you're in a four car race with another motorcycle and two cars. You start and crash. You take control of your character and have to get back on your bike. Once you get back on, you take a shortcut that only motorcycles can take. You jump right back behind the other vehicles. You hit your nitro and room throught the middle of the cars. You swerve through traffic and win the race. WOuldn't motorcycles be cool?
I dont think Motorcycles would be a great idead it would just spoil the idea of your guy being mystyrious and the fact the franchise was meant for cars. But they should make a new Franchise for Motorbikes though

It appears that the bulk of players for NFS are young and street oriented. Action and excitement rather that perfection of driving and engineering skills. Street oriented skills of outrunning cops and violence. My suggestion is that to either totally support the street form of game or have a setting where you have at least two choices - Teen and adult. The adult version would concentrate on perfecting driving skills and race only on real tracks where any deliberate ramming or crashing into other drivers results in a drive through or instant disqualification. (like the real world) Maybe someday we will actually have an American be a top ten Formula One or Lemans racer instead of in jail for vehicular manslaughter .
If this is going to be similar to NFS SIFT then many improvements need to be made:
1. In a series race you should be able to practice the track and qualify for a better starting position . In addition you should be able to change the setup for each race.
2. High power/high speed super cars only race on smooth high speed tracks (Spa, Silverstone, Road America, Road Atlanta etc.) Putting a Lamborgini on a twisty track where could mostly likely get easily beaten by a well tuned WRX Sti is ridiculous .
3. In NFS Shift there is a limited amount of cars you can own and you can not get two of anything. (nice to have one stock and another fully equiped) I have 20 mil on the game and no where to spend it.
4. Put Drifting on a sparate game. In my opinion Drifting is a circus sport. A perfection of a single talent.
If you were to couple it with anything it should be Rally Racing where you not only drift on tarmac but snow , ice, mud, etc. It encompasses all the driving talents. Rally drivers are the best in the World because they do everything. (No Americans there either in the FIA)
5. Before you market the new product get some real drivers to test it. They will be able to spot errors and problems early on. Most will know. Many of them actually use Video games prior to a real race to get oriented to the track and practice the apexes.
6. Upgrade to 1080. Shift is in 720 and the cars still look a little cartoon like.
7. Ability to save replays !
8. Most drivers have a good knowledge of setup but don't actually do it. They simply describe what the problem is and make recommendations. You could have list of key phrases like pushes or oversteers in the corners. Not enough grip. Not enough acceleration or speed. etc. The quick tuning is close to this but should be expanded. These adjustments should be converted to the advanced tuning section where you could go in and fine tune it yourself if desired. Practice laps should be included to see if your setup is correct before you race. (more real world stuff)
Hope to see a more comprehensive driving simulator in the future !

I kind of like those games you are talking about... but if you want a game like that you buy Forza 3 or something like that, but there should still be a game where we can street race just for the fun of it. We don't need more games that are the same as other games
