I just don't want to see such an abundance of rap. FNR4 only had 4 rock songs... if that. Maybe half and half, or at least close to that. With that being said here are some suggestions from me.
Sorry my post isn't as elaborate as some of the other people on here with music videos and links. Here are some suggestions with some bands that are I think both rap and rock fans will be ok with. Some have been used in other EA Sports games.
Jay-Z: Heart of the City (Ain't No Love)
MGMT: Electric Feel
Phoenix: 1901
Andrew WK: Party Hard
Metric: Help I'm Alive
Lupe Fiasco: Just Might Be OK or Kick Push (I know he has a new album coming out this year so maybe a song from that)
Rob Zombie: A song from his new album
BlackRoc: Anything by them (That is the RZA and the Black Keys)
Fedor - Enae Volare
Randy- ted nuggent stranglehold or acdc thunderstruck
Renato babalu - Pharaohe Monch - simon says remix
Gegard Mousasi - Ara Gevorkian - Artsakh
and anything that goes with the fighters

With that being said though please, PLEASE don't fill this game with douchey screamo rock music, UFC has got that covered trust me. I would love to hear more hiphop and more electronic/trance music (think of Minowamans entrance music), just a more varied selection in general, just watch any DREAM event to see what I mean, the music doesn't always have to be generic and overly aggressive rock BS like the UFC.
THIS. Although you definitely want to upload custom music(maybe have the player on the opposite side of the connection have an option to hear your music or not to prevent people from doing stupid stuff?), I don't want my selection of music limited to 28 bands that all want to be Limp Bizkit. Have a varied music list, and include the stuff from around the world-Rock, Electro, Drum N Bass(Especially from Brazil as well), Hip-Hop(including other countries-Japan, France, Canada, etc), etc.

I said it before but nobody commented so I'll try stating it again.
EA needs to sign a contract with Rhapsody, LaLa, or Itunes to cross link their game with 30 second audio clip streams from these websites. 30 seconds is all we need for a walk out song and the record labels would easily sign on to free advertising as long as the game shows the Artist, Song Title, Album, and Record Label when the song plays.

Not only your idea is brilliant from a gamer's perspective, it's also a very smart marketing idea and profitable to all the parties involved, EA, the gamers (us), the artists, the website streaming the content... Your idea is so good it deserves it's own thread.
