I have the same issue. I got about 15-20 games into the Season with the Jazz and then the freezing started. I even got another game thinking these may have been a scratch on it.

It's frustrating. I got the sliders perfect on 7 minute quarters.
7-7-7-7 playoff format.

Plus I noticed the only way you can get crown points is if you have it on 3 minute quarters. And it has not recorded one point on my crown summary for Manager mode. I'm 34-7 now and I like the game itself, but the freezing is annoying.

also one other thing ot add. Mine also freezes in the middle of games during substitutions, usually in the 4th quarter.

also it was never a problem until I updated my psp to version 3.72.

What version is everyone else's?

I played the Dynasty mode with Houston using the fantasy draft, 7-7-7-7 playoffs, everything else set to default. The game would crash (PSP would shut down completely) after I would finish the first match against the Lakers right before I went to the new unique challenge (Its done this a few times now, don't think I'll be able to advance past that).

The Rockets are also missing Chuck Hayes and Luis Scola from the roster.

Any word on when these fixes are coming? I think I'm just going to return the game.

I use the Heat, I'm in game one the begining of the season. 10 min quarters. I can't even get it to load. It says the disk can't be read. I don't know if updating the PSP has anything to do with it (Update 3.73) But that is the only game that doesn't work. I have the New Slim PSP, owned for about 4 months. I've plyed Live 08 several times but never completed a game out right. But now it won't even load up, just powers the PSP down........ What's going on?

I am using the Denver with 29 games in 1 season and 1-1-1-1 in playoff.
After I played a match, it is freezing during loading back to the GM's menu everytime.

But, if I simulate the 1st Q and then jump in to start with th 2nd Q, it will be fine. So I now keep playing the Dynasty Mode with only 3-Q in every game.

BTW, I'm really frustrated this time. I've playing NBA Live starting from 06 with my PSP...
I do hope to have player creating in next time. Beacuse it can make much more fun and also can compensate the problem of missing roster. Otherwise, 08 will be my last NBA live for PSP.

I used the Chicago Bulls in Dynasty Mode when it froze. My settings were the 7-7-7-7 playoffs and I only got through one game when after it gave me my stat tracker I got the little loading ball when it froze and the game turned off.

This thread started back on Oct 31st. It's obvious that the NBA LIVE 08 has BIG problems. Everytime the game locks up. To restart we must delete the profile. Is EA going to do any thing about fixing this product? It's clear the all EA cares about is pushing product out the door for sales. Testing/support is clearly not a concern.
We are returning this game for a better quality product...

i have the same problem both in Season and Dinasty Mode, with the Heats.

is it possible that the problem is the Crown? if i dont obtain any results with it, both in dinasty and season mode, my psp doenst turn off after the game.

but:
if we disable the Crown mode, how can we unlock the bonuses?

I complete one game and the following game after I get to the end of the game when i choose to advance to my crown status screen..it freezes before it get there then the system shuts off. The thing is that is not the only time that has happened. I would play in the a req. game (outside dysnasty mode) and the game would cut off on me at the end of the game either before or after my crown status is shown.

It seems to happen at quarter breaks and at the end of the game. (i also had it happen in madden 06 for psp)

it IS the crown like itll still freeze but less

its not what team or anythin like that
just go to prefrences and put off the crown stat tracker thing and the crown summary
disable those BUT KEEP THE CROWN ON
the problem is the crown tracker and thing
but i still have freezing problems
those are when i put my psp in sleep mode in the middle of a game and then turn it on
itll freeze and go right off (occationally)

in the middle of a game - that only happened 3 times (but in a row)
it was when i was in dynasty mode
finals game (#7) orlando(user) vs phoenix

and the last time was when i was saving the game
firstr i saved the crown, then it went to the profile save screen and right before it said that it was saved ..
(so while its saving) it shuts down


but the crown isnt the problem
its just when u complete 3 accomplishes in one game in dynasty and the stat tracker and the summary are on itll go off
but if u dont have the tracker or the summary then itll go smoothly..... sorta

I find it always locks after I received 8 blocks in the crown.

I will pay more attention now that I know this is a real issue.

Same problems as everybody. Is annoying, can't complete a single season on dinasty mode. 7 games playoffs, etc, same as everybody. Tried with Bulls, Suns, Lakers, Spurs, Nuggets, Cavalliers... same results always, PSP shuts down when loads after Crown summary and when I play the game again, PSP keeps shutting down. I have to restart Dinasty to be able to keep playing... Never got further than 10 games. Annoying.
