It's sad, how these kiddie wars bettween PC gamers and console gamers are so important for some people, but if you want it you got it.
And I see that PC gamers' mental level doesn't reach console gamers.
Oh, and don't try and twist my words. What I said, I said and thats it.

While this delay initially had me disappointing, after having time to think it through im actually excited about what they will be doing with this title for the PC.

well if your main fanbase are pc players, which i would think they are. why not make the pc version first and then port it to console. whats the difference? and the only reason you don't see that many console people talking on here is b/c the battlefield series is loved more by PC GAMERS not console gamers. seriously i hate ragers just as much as the next guy, but this time i'm gonna rage. No you are not damned if you do or damned if you don't. BF1942, BF2, AND BF2142 were freakin awesome. because guess what, it was a PC game. When i would show my friends who play consoles these games they would be like "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME" Where is the loyalty dice? i hope yall have a real crappy day dealing with all these complaints. oh and also, just search every single website that is showing the release... the majority of comments on there are about pissed off pc users feeling like they got "hosed" oh yes i went there.

The problem is not that it's delayed, the thing we have a problem with right now is that it's getting delayed for us PC gamers without any indications of any additional content or optimizations for PC. What we're afraid of, is that we're getting a simple port, one extra map and that's enough maybe.

If you, DICE, really are working hard to make BF1942 something special on the PC, I say thank you very much. Unfortunately we just don't know what to expect so of course we'll whine!

Mirrors Edge, while in my opinion much better on PC than on console, was a bit less than many expected. I mean, you kept the claustrophobic field of view from the console version, and the tutorial displays 360 controller buttons instead of keyboard buttons. How lazy isn't that.

I do hope for some news about the PC version soon, because everything is all about the console versions right now. Don't forget how many of your fanbase are on the PC, just waiting for a new large scale BF game for the PC.

Get your act together, and I hope for an epic BF1943

For the bold, its harder to do it that way.. you can make a pc version and then port it to the 360 with relative ease, however the ps3's architecture is totally different and makes it much harder to port over to.

and for the second part. Just because you don't see console players posing here, doesn't mean that they don't care.. lots of people talk about it over at gamespot for example.

i totally understand what your saying... but would you agree that the battlefield series' main fanbase is in the pc market? thanks for the well thought out response and not automatically flaming me.

I'm willing to pay $30 bucks if they add a lot of kool things and make the player count higher. I think you guys made a smart move to make a proper PC version. I really get annoyed with all these ppl complaining about the release date, C'mon you guys asked for true PC version, you think it doesn't take time to make it. I just hope that this delay is worth the wait, we need more features Gordon.

So let the PS3 players wait. It's the PC players who are the fans, there's more of us (as BF sales figures show), if its the PS3 that makes it hard, let them wait.

only ~500,000 people bought bad company for the ps3, it is a hard pill to swallow that they are being put FIRST!

Now, they put in the extra time and resources JUST FOR YOU, and you ungrateful little bastards are mad anyways. You didn't want 1943. You didn't like the regen health, the lack of depth in the game. So, here they are giving you what you want, and you still don't like it. Why does DICE even bother with you guys.

No, I don't think console gaming was prioritized. The game was probably being developed for all 3 platforms, but since the PC community wanted a full game, here you go. And honestly, you can't wait an extra few months? It's is a game for god's sake. Many of you have said you would rather have something than nothing and here you go. What is the problem?

so are we guarenteed a full game now? how many maps? (if thats so I understand and apologize) wheres the details of the pc version? we dont have any details....again

Or, they can make it for the PS3/360 first (seeing as the real point of this game is to broaden the fan base of the battlefield series instead of leaving it a PC only experience..)

I'll agree with that 100%, however at the same time as i said in my response to Augus7us.. they are at a point where they are trying to broaden that fanbase.. Also, no sweat with the not automatically flaming you thing.. I try my best to use thought out responses as a PC/console gamer to make it a bit more difficult for people to say that "ALL console gamers are teh nubs!!!!1!!one1!"

The PC version will be donning improvements, expect details to be coming down the pipe.

3 Months, I doubt we are looking at a full game. Probably just a complimentary sorry map.
