I don't think anyone is really calmed down until they hear more, just don't want to get all upset about a tie-over game. If I hear BF3/BF:V2/BF2143/BFZ is going to the same way, I will ask for EA to delete my account before I get banned.

To be honest I'm really skeptical. I never played Mirror's Edge or compared to the PC an 360 versions to see if there was really any upgrade or not sans that physics stuff that was added, and almost all of the delayed PC ports this gen have been a lot worse than their console counterparts. I mean didn't DICE say before that they specifically didn't want games like Bad Company or this on the PC so they wouldn't just be doing straight ports.
One of them is we don't want to do straight ports. If we do a console game, which is a true next-gen game we've been working on from the beginning, then it's just porting it over to PC, and we wouldn't feel happy about that. There are so many things that need to go into creating what we think is the perfect PC game. I mean, Battlefield was invented on the PC, so if we do a PC or a Battlefield game, it needs to be spot-on.

Not cool. The PC version should have been first.

PC's brought gaming to the level it is today and to be shunned with a later release sucks.

Typical.

If EA wants DICE to create a console version, then what choice do I have? I would also bet that the majority of devs are PC gamers at heart. Let DICE do their job so they can push out those consoles and get some revenue rolling in; then they can sit back a bit and focus on what is really important to them/us by making an outstanding PC version. They have a reputation to up hold, and have created the BEST FPS of all time, so nothing should be sacrificed in any future PC games. I wouldn't want it any other way, and I wish DICE all the best in their commitment to bringing us another awesome shooter.

Hey Dyk3 I loved your run-around responses in those interviews on when Bad Company 1 was going to get better voice comms and clan support. You still looking into that? Still seeing if it's technically possible after all these months? No? Just going to put it in BC2 eh? Smart, make everyone buy that instead of improving upon the original. I like your business first style buddy. [/sarcasm]

Man, when did all the PC gamers turn troll, tired of all the bitching and moaning going on about this game. First its the 3 maps and 24 player limit, well guess what PC gamers looks like there going to probably adress that, but that might take some time, oh now your pissed that consoles are going to get there version release first....hmmm maybe thats because there are adressing the issue's you had in the first place. So to appease you they should delay the release of the console version, ya that makes sense, I forgot we have to sit in awe of all you pc gamers who are way better then console gamers and built dice from the ground up and so forth. Guess what I've been a PC gamer for a good 10 years, been around for 1942, Vietnam, Modern Combat, and 2142 (and have most of the expansions) and I bought, played and enjoyed all those games listed above because Dice did a amazing job making those games. The developers made Dice, we were just along for the ride. Instead of all the deconstructive criticism why don't you try to get behind these guys who are trying to turn out a decent PC version. I am now playing more Xbox and am looking forward to the release on xbox live but I still play my pc versons of BF. I know I am going to get flamed hard for this post, but I have been holding this in for a while.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait...especially when they unveil the "carrier" game mode. (Think Titans at sea!)

No, your points are understandable. But there is simply no reason why all of this could not have been done DURING the development. Doing the PC version afterwards just sounds irrational. A simultaneous release of all versions wpuld be better imho.

I got the feeling it was the plan in the first place. My question is now - why not the other way around? Make a good PC version and then make console versions. Sorry to say it again, but it just sounds like a money reason But what can you expect from EA.

agreed, but I think the the PC version will be made into a superior version and this is coming from a console gamer, well kinda (more console then PC nowadays). Basically what I am saying is that;

Battlefield 1943, FPS Juggernaut. A game barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic game. Battlefield 1943 will be that game. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.
