Roddick shouldn't be compared to Nalbandian, you are a member of TTW forums you should know by now that Nalbandian is a talented underachiever, Roddick on the other hand isn't as talented but is extremely consistent and is the top ranked american player him being absent would be silly, he even won a title this year and had a couple final appearance and a semi at the AO

To me thats a reason to include Nalbandian in the game. He is easily top 10 material based on talent yet you think he no longer deserves to be in a game. Just to see your opinion do you think that VT2009 (In terms of current players) have a better roster or not?

You know..I'm sorry i feel i was a bit out of line...

Let me explain one thing..when i heard that GST was coming out i thought it was Wii exclusive, when i heard about VT09 i was excited because it was multiplatform and i saw Murray and Djoker...then as the roster got revealed little by little and it felt like more and more of the same

Then this games roster is revealed and out of all the players only Borg,Becker and Sampras have appeared in other games and it was Tospin 3 for Becker and Borg while topsin for the xbox had pete so thats not a lot

But Nalbandian has been in so many games,Blake as well, Ferrer hasn't but do we really need another claycourter? i could understand if he was replacing JCF but he's there with JCF so why? why not put Verdasco? who has more success on hard courts?

All in all i'll enjoy VT09 but the roster just feels like VT3 with a few tweaks

The field of tennis players keeps getting bigger and bigger so why have i been looking at virtually the same roster for every game? how many time will i see Nalbandian, Blake, Haas and Monfils (though i wanted him in)

When VT3 came out they had Monfils before he had done anything relevant why not do the same?

I was hoping they would remove and improve

To answer your question, i feel GST has the better roster and if the create a player mode is as good as they say i can include everyone i want to create

Also in a way you are saying that they have a negative impact if they are free or a very low price on the game by saying "wtf are you in this game for?"

You took my posts to literally basically what that meant was "Wow your still in this game?"

Ok but my point is like this. Look at Game X and Game Y. Game X has VT2009 roster and Game Y has GST's roster. Now taking out the legend players who has the better roster? To me over-whelmingly VT2009. though if you add Legends depending on your POV you may give a slight edge to GST or VT2009 or call it even. Most people buying this game IMO will be of the younger generation and prefer VT2009 roster.

Sorry but GST does not beat VT2009's roster.....i, like most people, prefer CURRENT players and sorry but VT 09's current roster blows GST's roster out of the park!! GST only own's in the LEGENDS category

And VT 09 has every player GST has plus Nalbandian,Blake,Ferrer and others.......except Tsonga and Nishikori lol,big losses!! As for the women,no competition!

I will take Tsonga over Blake, Nalbandian, and Ferrer any day. Especially because I have four games that already have Blake and Nalb in them. It's not just about how popular or accomplished the pros are. Eventually I get sick of seeing the same names in different games. After this group of tennis games, I would add Fed, Nadal, and Roddick to the names they could rotate out for some new blood.

Of course that will never happen. And I agree they should give the WTA their own game. That way they aren't taking up roster spots in my tennis games.

Tommy Haas - idk..Safin maybe he's on his way out give him some love he was only in SCT2
Juan Carlos Ferrero - replace with Fernando verdasco
David Ferrer - Replace with Nishikori
James Blake - Replace with Tsonga

If they had these players instead of the others it would feel like a new game..they still have Nadal wearing his pirate look, EA actually has his current look along with real outfits he wore

Why break up the rosters into categories? Look at ALL the names in both games. GST is far and away better. No need to remove legends from the discussion. The fact that VT09 includes Henman as a legend removes any credibility anyway. Never heard of a "legend" who never won a slam. And Becker and Edberg are in GST. So EA has the same legends Sega has and more. If you want nalbandian, blake, or henman, save some money and get an old tennis game that has them on the roster. There are a lot to choose from.

VT09 is a recycled VT3 with a couple more players. Nothing more...


WTA players are irrelevant. Rarely do I see anyone use them online in any game. Developers should free up the space for more ATP players.

So again having legends is great and all but that isnt what the game is about,and based on current players VT 2009 easily wins,end of subject!

I think GST roster wins, meaning it can't be the end of the subject because the conclusion wasn't unanimously decided on, SEGA has a board im sure so if you like that game go there

Again, why are people saying "based on current players"? If we are going to compare, let's compare the entire roster. In doing so GST has the superior roster. It is what it is. And yes, I did say WTA players are irrelevant. Ya see a lot of people using the female players online in any tennis game? Rarely. Why even have them. If most people are going to select male players, make room for more. No info checking needed "buddy". See who people select online. No developer could make a WTA game because it wouldn't be profitable. Could they have a game with just male players? No problem. So however you want it put, secondary, irrelevant. Pick one. Either works.

And also remember that this is the first version of GST im sure ea are playing it a bit cautious this year but if it is a success then I can guarantee ea will get more licensing done and we will have a much more well rounded roster for GST2(if they release it) Were also forgetting this is the wii version we might get more players for the ps3/360. Virya tennis is just dull they might have more current players but some of those current players are barely or even in the top 20. They have had the same roster for years and have never improved on it thats why GST roster is better.
