i don't really understand why EA is doing this
the best fighters in the world are in the UFC
I do admit that Fedor and Mousasi are great but EA should have made a deal with the UFC because once people get this game and play it for a while they are gonna want to use Anderson Silva, they're going to want to see GSP fighting against guys who aren't in the UFC.
it just doesn't make sense to me

This is kind of starting to worry me, even a lot of people that find their way here think all the best fighters are in the UFC.

There are a large number of very good fighters out there...however I don't know if there would be enough to really fill up the weight classes with known fighters. Believe it or not, there are a large number of people that have no clue who Fedor is! If this is a good game and it has a couple big names in it, then I will buy it.

That is because most people only know the UFC, so they think because it's the most known one of the Sport that they must have the best fighters...which any true MMA fan knows they are far from it.

You see, this agravates ME. I know ALLLLL about the other promotions and its fighters, and you know what? I'm still not all that impressed. And as far as rankings go? Sherdog (which is a very repected MMA source) Doesn't feel the same as you guys either.. look at their top 10's in each weight class.. its littered with UFC guys in every weight class. Now I know that they aren't the only source.. but another one I could name: MMA Junkies, is not far off either from those opinions either.
I would never be "fan-boy" enough to say that the UFC has ALL the talent. And I don't think ALL the UFC fans that post on this sight would or HAVE said that either. But that being said, MOST of the good to great talent does lie there. They have the clout and the exposure to appeal to the best fighters in the world. Most of the best Training schools, and teachers train guys for the UFC, they train other fighters as well for other promotions.. but where do ALL those fighters hope to wind up at some point? The UFC. I'm aware that there are rogue guys like Fedor out there.. but Fedors rogue mindedness is more financial than you guys are willing to admit. Most of the reason why he won't fight in the UFC is because the UFC won't split the profit down the center with his handlers.. and to prove it, the UFC actually offered him the contract they said they wanted.. minus the profit sharing, and co-sponsorship with other promotions. They were willing to let him fight elsewhere, they just weren't willing to help promote it. So guess what? At the end of the day.. it did come down to cash with Fedors people. And I cannot at ALL blame the UFC for not getting suckered into that deal. They had everything to lose.. and only a minimal gain. They don't need Fedor to put up great cards or make their money for PPV fights, or exposure for that matter.
Bottom line? Doesn't make you more knowledgeable about MMA because you know about "other" promotions. It only makes your "fighter vocabulary" a bit more in depth. The quality of fighters and fights in the UFC makes a pretty compelling argument for itself IMO. And if thats mostly what some of these people are familiar with? Theres nothing wrong with that at all.
