Eh I'm not all that great, I did shoot a -23 on tier 9 Torrey Pines the other day in Amateur. I had 5 eagles, one of which was a chip in. I missed a hole in one and another eagle by inches too, I would have probably been tied with the leader if I would have made those 2 in. I was in like 47th or so place when it was all said and done. I do wonder how some of those guys can post scores like they do but I have to assume it's because they can hit straighter and play enough to remember how everything goes.

I was also in the tier 6 on the Torrey Pines and I shot a -21 and was in 14th and got dropped all the way to 41st in the span of 5 hours or so, that sucked.

What is it exactly that want EA to do about?

Is it that you want to be able to win a tournament? How about they just kick everyone who is better than you off the game. If they were to make the game hard enough so that these top guys were struggling to shoot par, what score do you think you would be posting at the end of round? +20. +30 or worse maybe.

25 under in a non tour pro tourney is not all that unusual, and would probably not be good enough to get into the top 5 on most. So even 100 under par in four rounds would not be out of place. You don't need to cheat to get these scores.

The game is basically easy and there are a number of techniques that people use to get the best out of the game. Some may call those techniques cheating, but how can you criticise someone for getting the most out of the game?

In every game I have ever tried there have always been a group of players that get these sort of scores or points. Some people just have an ability to make the shots, and they should not be penalised just because you can't understand how they do it. Of course, if you can't understand how it's done, it must mean they are cheating.

What I want is for EA to start mailing me my checks already.....I have well over 20 mil in winnings so far and they haven't sent me 1 red penny yet...... ......Oh wait......this is just a game....I forgot.....carry on....

Just the simple fact that you come online and complain about the fact that some people can shoot better then you amazes me, I mean come on. I go online and only play through a course once, keep in mind I have played all the courses though too. I shoot to the best of my ability and most of the time end up in the top 5 or 10 on any given tourni that I choose to play. Please stop whining, we aren't cheating, it's a game. Practice doesn't make you perfect, but it sure helps out.

I don't have a problem with some folks being better and scoring such scores but surely the whole point of tiered tournaments is that people of similar ability play each other. Even at the lower tiers folks are shooting -20 in a round which seems to somewhat defeat the object. Also I see such scores as unrealistic and even if I was able to devote more time to the game would not find such scores meaningful. It makes the concept of Play the Pro meaningless as well. TW should also have a handicap system per real golf.

i have an idea ea. tier 1-3 = no tuned clubs and no personal golfer, tier 4-7 = no expert clubs or max suits, then 8-10 is a free for all. and always let lesser ranked players play in the higher tiers, just dont ding their score based on the finish.

something like that or a variation, would allow not as skilled players to still have a (sort of) level playing field.

i truly don't know how people are getting insane scores like this, but weather its cheating or skill i feel something should be done. my suggestion would have to be to set up tournaments based on skill levels, like the ones shooting -30 in one round should play against equal players, same goes for those who score lower so on and so forth. I personally shoot -15 to -20 a round, but it sucks knowing i will NEVER get in 1st. Just thought i would throw my 2 cents in, cheers!

Even in tour pro mode the game is way easier than real golf, so the scores are gonna be lower. If they made it as hard as real golf (which I personally wish they would) then many wouldn't play because "it's too hard".

They should basically have 2 games. One for arcade type players, and one for those who want all the realism and swearing and such that goes with real golf.

i would have to agree with you gus, this game is far from realistic. If it was then WOW there would be thousands of people spanking tiger woods! i wish i was more realistic, even for myself. i mean seriously how many times have you seen golfers go -30 in a round?

What you need to understand drupe is if they made the game hard enough so that the top scorers were struggling to break par, you would still likely be the same 10 strokes behind them with no chance of ever getting that elusive first place yourself.

Unfortunately, not everyone can be the number one scorer, all you can do is to try to improve your own game from round to round, and who knows, you might do better than you think after a while.

so what im hearing is that you are not skilled enough to compete with the top players... so the game needs to punish those players that are better than you so you can win a tournie.... thats so 3rd grade...

no the point im really trying to make is they should have different tourney levels based on player score, they do already but its not very good. All im saying is that i shot a -18 in my last online tourney and yet i still finished in 750th place, out of 900. i would just like it if they broke it down into better skill levels. As for the realistic thing, thats aside from online tourneys, i ment that for playing offline, i understand that would also lower my score but it would give the game a realistic play.

Try the Tier tournaments if you don't think the skill grouping is correct. Because I guarantee there aren't 900 people in any tier tournament.

I'd say I'm pretty good, but I don't think I'll ever top a leaderboard. I consistently finish Top 50, but I just don't have what it takes to get a -29. Be it a 3rd party controller or just plain skill. But somehow people are driving the ball 500 yards. It's pretty easy to win that way.

you need to do the same and then form an opinion.

i think you might belive theres some kind of cheating with the score-list... with the numbers?
thats not the case... these guys are hitting the golfball with their clubs just like you and me... well, almost:
read up on 3rd party controllers, course mapping, etc etc....

maby you will change your mind about the cheating part or maby not...
but dont make the mistake and think that getting a new controller will get you score -35.
i belive they put in alot of work and time to achieve something like that.

i only hope for a true golfsim one day.
my best round in tw10 was -25 in tier10 couple of days ago.
i had 2 hio - 5 eagles and 11 birdies... stock controller, no "cheating"...
i think even thats crazy... i want this game to be much much harder.
