Hey Victor,

I just wanted to ask, when do you expect to have a gameplay trailer out?

Thanks

I am a big fan of ea sports and i think most ea sports games look great and feel great to play. i own UFC 2009 undisputed and something that really bothered me with the game was it never really felt like a real ufc fight and i think there should be more focus with that in this mma game. another thing that bothered me was that you were only able to execute 1 submission move from 1 position on the ground. if you know anything about BJJ then you know that there are so many different options on which submission to choose from. what i would like to see is some sort of "submission modifier" button that you hold down and you can sort of select which submission to try and execute based on the position you are on the ground. do you think this would be possible? i think it would be a good thing to put in the game and would give fights a ton of variety. thanks!

It's a bit early for this still, but as soon as we do post one the game team will be able to talk about it.

Whats up Vic,

Its great to see a guy invovled in Mixed Martial Arts developing the game. I bet you hate the Ezekiel Choke, I have gotten caught in those a few times. What aspects that THQ has in your opinion messed up on, are you guys looking to improve, without giving too much away? I know a few people who train out of GB in Orlando, as well as ATT Orlando.

I hope after seeing what Zaromskis did at the Dream WW Grand Prix, that you guys will consider putting him in the game.

Vic, will there be female fighters in this game and will you have a DEEP create-a-fighter mode(male and female)?

Who is your favorite MMA fighter or do you have a top 5?

There were plenty that almost made this list, but...
Anderson Silva
Shinya Aoki
Fedor Emelianenko
Genki Sudo
Kazushi Sakuraba

what do you like most about these purticular fighters? is it their fighting style, their personality, or how they fight?

For Fedor, Anderson, and Shinya its about their technique. They are masters of their craft.
Genki Sudo and Sakuraba are both great showmen and always bring something exciting to the table win or lose.

Whats going on Mr. Victor Lugo?!

Bro we need a VERY LARGE Create a Fighter Storage Space... This is something we really need, FNR4 had 40max Space for Created Boxers. Undisputed had 100+ Storage Space so it is possible to have a lot of space.. Worst case scenario 100+ best case scenario 200+ even better case scenario 300+ you get the idea!

We do need this to add as many Fighters as we all want with out any limitations in that area of the game! Has to be there...

CPU vs. CPU bro! H3ll Y3s! Just for the heck of it!

I am 25 years old and have been active in martial arts for about 20 of them. I trained in boxing, Ashihara karate, and judo for before I started training mixed martial arts and shifting my focus to Muay Thai and BJJ. I have been training MMA for 3 years now.

I lived in Japan for 3 years and I think that has had a major impact on my interest in games. I play all types of games from ranging from Triple-A to the very obscure. I’m also a HUGE fan of fighting games which has made the past year extra exciting. Most recently I’ve been enjoying Blazblue. Its pretty awesome.

Anyways, I look forward to dicussing all things MMA and videogame related so lets get started!

Peace
Victor

I hope this means you'll make sure EA MMA will have head movement (FNR3) in the game. Welcome and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

Check out onlinemma.org. They have multiple leagues (MMA and K-1), live broadcasts, legit rankings, etc.

I have played most of them. Some were definately better than others. K-1 Pocket Grand Prix 2 is my favorite. Its actually one of my favorite handheld games of all time.

Good to see that you aren't just an MMA fan but a MMA/K-1 video game aficionado as well. Awesome to know that you are on the dev team.
