I was playing against CSB MR 100. He was beating me 21-0. I came back and took the lead 28-21. It was the 3rd quarter and he was facing a 3rd and 17. He took a timeout with 4 seconds left and then he did a qb kneel. With one second left he hit pause and disconnected. It froze my screen and I couldn't do anything. I did not receive a loss or a dnf. It was like the game never took place. I see this guy is ranked in the top 100 and has won like 26 straight. Which no wonder, because he has probably been doing it everytime he is going to lose. I would just like to see a little bit of integrity restored to the game. Thank you

I couldn't agree with you more. I bought Madden 2010 and it works online just find. I'm a big time College Football fan and love NCAA but after this years version, I will never buy another NCAA game. I'll stick with Madden because that is EA's bread and butter and I'm sure any problems with Madden have been addressed. I'm very disappointed in how EA chose to deal with these online problems.

I sent an email off to EA regarding how poorly they designed NCAA and the massive problems everyone was having with online dynasty play and continually being disconnected. Here is their response:


Thank you for contacting EA Technical Support.

I apologize for any inconvenience. I understand you are having trouble playing your game online.

We will need some more information to help locate the exact issue:-

Prior to this issue beginning, were you able to play online? And was there any change to your online setup? That may shed some light on what is causing this difficulty.

I would also request you to refresh your online connectivity through Xbox Live. The first thing you can do is to powercycle your modem. This is done by unplugging your modem from the power supply and letting it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and then plugging it back in. During this time, you can reset your Xbox 360's time and date setting to the 11/15/2005 by following the below given steps.
• Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller to enter the Dashboard.
• Sign out of Xbox Live by pressing the X button.
• Select the System blade.
• Select Console Settings and press the A button.
• Select Clock and press the A button.
• Change the date to 11/15/2005 and press the A button to accept.
Combined, these steps may be able to refresh your console's connection to Xbox Live and resolve most, if not all of your connectivity issues.

Another thing you can do is to check the ports for Xbox Live. Connection issues typically are caused by one or more ports being blocked by a firewall, router, or even your Internet Service Provider to help maintain security. These ports are the doorways used to send and receive information between your computer and the server. First, try to bypass your router (if you have one) and see if the game can connect. If it does, then it means that the router itself may be blocking the needed ports for the game. If you are still unable to connect, the ports may be blocked directly by your Internet Service Provider.

The ports for Xbox Live are below. You may have to configure your router/firewall to have the game's ports open in order to connect to the servers properly. If you do not know how to configure your router, you can contact the manufacturer of the router for proper instructions. If you need to contact your ISP regarding these ports, make sure that they are open for both incoming and outgoing directions:

UDP Ports: 88 & 3074
TCP Port: 3074

I hope that this will resolve the situation. If you have any other questions, then by all means feel free to let us know. You can also refer to our extensive Self Help Knowledgebase at http://support.ea.com for common technical questions.

First off why does Madden work flawlessly including using the online franchise? I'm assuming that although EA is the company that NCAA and Madden are using seperate servers. Maybe they should run across the hall and ask the Madden guys to fix their servers?

Why does EA always want to blame my internet company (Time Warner) or blame my equipment (router/modem)? I spoke with TW and they actually state it is illegal to block ports going into residential areas. Shouldn't EA service people know this? I have reset my modem so many times because of the disconnects that I've lost track. I'll try setting the date back but again it sounds like EA is trying to blame everyone else instead of looking in the mirror. It obviously is not my system, xbox live, time warner as Madden works great; heck every online game I own works great EXCEPT NCAA 2010. It's not that hard to figure out EA. Why don't you let a BETA group take the game for a month before the release and do nothing but play it? I would rather have the game delayed that works right that have a game that is completely screwed up and unplayable. Is this EA's last year of having the license for college football? Can we expect a 2K college game soon?

After the finish of a play on all 5 occasions.

Nobody else has had this issue in my dynasty. My internet connection is fine. Why is it 200,000 (30 people in one game) people can play call of duty 4 online at the same time with 0 lag, but 500 (2 PEOPLE PER GAME???) people cannot get a clean, lag free, disconnect free game?

I can't stay connected to ea servers. It freezes when I try to play a game online. I'm always booted off the ea servers but not the playstation network. I have NEVER been able to access the SEASON SHOWDOWN tab. Really sucks. REBATES need to be given out because it's false advertisement. I can't do half the stuff ea hyped the game on. I've bought every NCAA football game since the beginning but I think this might be my last because it's now September and ea hasn't addressed the issue. I have played Madden with no problem online so it seems that's where ea is focused.

EA Where is the support? I've called numerous times and have been shunned everytime. I get told the same thing over and over again. I also have been told to not call anymore just post on these forums. That is not good support, and something that I wish I could remember his name because I would do my best to have him repremanded.


Please fix the current problems, not even being able to get into the dynasty. Also the disconnection issue. Please look into this.

Maybe it's time for a class action lawsuit? They advertised this game as the ability to have an online dynasty and it falls short of that. If you buy a car and it keeps having trouble and not starting; do you keep it and say oh well? I'm sure this type of lawsuit would stand a better chance that Sam "They are using my likeness" Keller. It would be nice if EA would finally come out and say 'we are fixing the problem' or 'we don't have a fix for this' so our league can go back to NCAA 2009 which worked fine.

Before I start here the solution with my online complaint is that my internet is not the issue. If this was it would be an issue from day 1.

I have been playing NCAA Football 10 for 2-3 weeks now. Last Thursday night/Friday Morning I have been getting ONline dynasty not found, or transfer failed every time I go to do do something within the dynasty.

This means EVERY TIME I enter the dynasty I get either one or both of those errors. I get them for 5-10 minutes

EVERY TIME I refresh my dynasty hq I get either one of those messages sometimes taking 2-3 min to let me in.

EVERY TIME I leave dynasty hq to fix roster, check standings, recruit, play game I get these errors, sometimes for 2-3 minutes.

EVERY TIME I play my game and come back to my dynasty hq I get these errors, sometimes 2-3 minutes.

I am not having a problem playing my games, they play fine, an occasional disconnect, only like 1-2% disconnect.

I can't accept invites because of these issues.

I called your customer support yesterday 2x and they told me to post it here, and they also said it was my internet connection, but it's not my connection.

Please fix this issue, it's making me wish I had walked away from EASports games.

7 min quarters 4users gamertags- shatterd, larrylance, mikeysa8, sydeburnz online dynasty big 12. central time zones. did not start experiencing issues till season showdown went live. i am in 3 online dynastys all of them do the same thing. sometimes we finish games and it does not take them. we pay 60 bucks for these games and you guys can't keep them up to par what's up with that? you guys should be able to fix these issues.

guys we seem to forget that ea sucks remember the nascar series servers always freezing up and crap. no wonder ea lost that franchise game

lol. I can't believe they told you to clear your cache! Man. Customer support is HORRIBLE and POINTLESS for not only EA but any company that has a monopoly on an industry. I.e. -- Comcast here in my hometown. They are the only cable service. So, when you try to resolve issues they give you the usual runaround of "reset your modem for 30 seconds" and "Are you sure everything is correctly plugged in?" ... I mean, I thought I contacted support for help.

Anyway, last year when NHL '09 had the disc error issue (which I still don't know if that was resolved or not .. I ended up swapping it for PS3). The official release from one of the big guys of EA was to clear the cache and it should resolve the issue. Of course it did not.

Freaking ridiculous EA. Every single year you do this.
