madden 10 is sweet

I am close to going with biggest upgrade in many years...

I think it is so strong and brings the feel of the NFL game alive much more than previous games...

Audio needs re-thought and half-time report and pre weekend report in franchise mode make the season come to live but already I am hoping they put more into it for madden 11...

My opinion on madden nfl 2010

PROS: online franchise (been waiting forever) think i speak for all.
new rating system needs a little tweaks but its nice to stand out.
graphics and game speed are definitely almost perfect.
player faces seem to look like them not just a random ghostly image.
pocket presence how the qb can step up or back etc...

CONS: the wildcat shows to prove glitchy and shall be removed if you want people to play
ONLINE COOP sounded fun but against the computer? come on
paying for extra things that games should come with yea ea does that alot.
pro-tack is weak and a shame how a wrapped up player can go to the house
some ratings are unbelievable "i am an eagles fan so you could say i am biased but we had the 3rd best d last year why is it the 28th in the game????"

my impression so far from what i read is that we guys in the EU have to pay extra to play online franchise. not to mention in the EU games are generaly more expensive!

I would say its an amazing game, amazing.

commentary needs work, and so does the extra point.
But for this year they are great.

I'd say get rid of all the useless features that arent needed.
And just juice up gameplay and franchies, and online things.

Impression: gameplay looks good. But player ratings are so bad. Is this NFL or CFL? I am confused.

Apparently Jared allen is fast enough to be a defensive back, because he's almost as fast as antoine winfield, and cedric griffin. Aundrae Allison ran a 4.39 and 4.4 at the combine, out of coastal carolina, but he is rated an 87. If this kind of time is 87, then 3.9, 3.8 must be 99?

Slowing down gamespeed is fine. But player ratings fell off the map. They didnt have to ruin the perception of an individual to make it slower.

Im not really sure how you can have pro-bowl caliber players with such low ratings. DB's are so much slower. How are they gonna keep up?

Sidney Rice will flat out, out-run jared allen, and yet they are practically the same speed. LOL

Horrible.... Does player pogression work? probably not....

They say player progression works, and every year they claim its fixed and it isnt. I wouldnt expect this year to be any different. Unless progression work, this is the WORST madden to date.

So far I'm loving the hype for it.
I'll be at Gamestop at 10pm for it/

I have had a few other weird things happen.

1) Announcer said 'seventeen' for my full back, number 47

2) Holding penalties on FGs is nuts. I get at least 1 a game. And in the 10 games I have played so far I have had two games with 3+ FG holding penalties.

3) When the defense intercepted a pass and got caught holding on the return the announcer called holding on the offense when it should have said either defense, returning team, intercepting team, etc.

4) Just played a game on 7 minutes Qs with accelerated clock. This feels right.

5) I really like the fatigue system. Players need to come out after long plays.

I have the game.

Franchise needs to be deeper

DID THE GAME COME OUT TODAY?

Only played the demo, here is what i think.

Good things:

-New broadcast system is great! feels like im watching it on tv
-graphics are damn good
-love the fumble pile up
-ticker is very good
-Very excited for unform mix and match! i have had some good uniform ideas for teams and now i can bring them to life

Bad Things:
-"Hurry up offense": Why do they mozy around, they should speed it up so i can call my audible, its actually quicker to go to the pick play menu and ask madden :s
-commentary!!!! booorriiing, and im pretty sure in madden 09 tom hammond calls atlanta "Atlantic". Try Aikman and Buck, or Summerall, or Ditka! lol but not Collinsworth, he giggles at everything and talks so slow. no excitement when a big play happens.
-But the thing that bugs me the most....Why dont runningbacks get low and accelerate?!! they run high and jog roboticly, same goes for recievers during their routes, they jog!!

Fix up the bad things that i listed for madden 11, and you will have a picture perfect nfl game. Madden 09/10 was a very good step though from a disappointing 08, still very pumped for 10 though!

PS: EA, just give up on live, it sucks. 2k has got it in the bag, also i would love to see you guys make a baseball game! no fair that xbox owners are stuck with 2k only, you guys have the tools to make a great mlb game

-Online franchises(no salary cap,draft imports from ncaa, trade logic,and faster game speeds then the offline games) it kills the whole thing such a bummer' all hype
-online co=op what a waste of time
-the annoucers, getting better but they still suck
-some framerate drops, no excuses, you SLOWed IT DOWN already come on guys
-having to wait another year and pay another 60 bucks , to hope that online franchises are done right

why did offline Franchise schedules change? You use to be able to play user-controlled games out of order, and this year you can't? This was a big disappointment to us that do Franchise mode in the office.

Other than the demo, I haven't played a single down of Madden 10. I got it at the midnight release, brought it to work and started going through my roster to get my team ready for a new franchise. I am very upset that my team is missing players along with having players that got cut months ago. I am a Lions fan, as they may not deserve respect for what they did last season, I as a consumer do.

What's the deal with that?

Sure some of the players I expect to be on the roster aren't starters, but that's the point of franchise. To eventually make then starters. C'mon EA! That's a real good way to impress somebody that just threw 60 dollars at you.
