for some reason i can not log into the online franchise site onlinefranchise.easports.com. i put in my email and password and the screen seems like it is loading but goes back to the email password screen. can some one please tell me what i am doing wrong here???

I think they're having server problems. I was logged into my online franchise's website this morning. Now it keeps saying the server's down. It's been this way for the past 2 hours. Anyone else having this problem?

Things I like about the Online Franchise Web Experience:

Things I think can be improved:

- I love the idea of a website and a mobile app to access the online franchise. But I have nothing but issues with the website. Server connection issues all the time.
Or it shows the players rating under age and their age under their rating...
I have tried IE6, through work, IE7 and IE8 on different machines at home, all experiencing the same issues.
and IE6 at work, the website really doesn't work at all on this browser version.

- If not all of the human controlled teams are able to attend the live draft, have the draft board with a different option. I like that you can rank players, but add an option so I can tell the computer which position to draft in each round for me.
So if I am unable to attend the draft, I can tell it to pick me a QB, round 1, a HB round 2, a CB round 3, etc.
So when the draft is over, I have a complete team and dont end up with 4 TE's or FB's.

- Allow owners to own more than 1 team. I would love to maybe only have 16 of us in a league and everyone own 2 teams. So that there is never a game against a CPU controlled team.

- Give commissioners more abilities.
A) Be able to open up more than 1 week at a time. Instead of 1 game played then advance the week, allow me to open up 2 or 3 at a time, so the guys in the league can play a few games before we advance everything.
B) Set a trade limit. So many trades per team as a max.
C) Make it easier to post news items. Maybe add message boards that I can access within the 360 console instead of having to visit the website to see.
D) Add the ability for the franchise to be just an online league. Meaning, don't make players retire at the end of the season. Right now, once a season is over, my friends and I have to delete the current franchise and start over.
We all pick new teams and start fresh.

If I know about a website like leaguedaddy.com, I am sure someone at EA knows about it.

Make your online franchise have more options like this site allows. And I am not promoting their site.
I would drop them and use the online franchise mode in a second if you would offer me the options that they offer me.

People are paying leaguedaddy like $100 a year to host leagues. Make yours similar and give more options and you would be able to start charging too.
Leaguedaddy, I have to enter in stats manually, with your online franchise, it does it all for me.

Again, I applaud EA for taking a step in the right direction. Now build off of what you have to make it even better next year.

I forgot to mention some pretty important features of an online franchise...

The free agency is whoever wants him, gets him...this needs fixed.

NO SALARY CAP/SALARIES....isn't this part of the NFL?

NO CPU TRADE IQ....This is just silly to not have some kind of trade logic in. Who the heck wants to be able to trade Peyton manning for Derick Anderson straight up? That is not how it works in the NFL.

NO NCAA DRAFT CLASSES!!! Last time I checked all of those things were very very important parts of an NFL franchise and an NFL season.

I heard somehwere that the producers and designers say that they may fix these issues if they get enough demand for them (because the game is server based so they can do it using that).

I have no clue if that is in any way, shape or form true, but if it is...Shame on you EA.
You should be doing as my parents taught me, do what is right even when no one is around watching you.

There is an Online thread discussion that starts off with a moderator stating, "You wanted it, well now you got it!"

No, we wanted a lot more and got about 1/4 of what we wanted.

And I am not bashing EA. As I have posted in my other threads, I applaud EA for taking some HUGE strides forward. But dont act like you have created the greatest thing to ever have been invented. You are far from that status yet!

Loving online franchise!

A few things I would like:
1) Pre season option
2) Scouting report on upcoming games (including players to watch, injuries,etc)
3) Free agent draft. Not just a free for-all
4) Players of the week

Things I think could be improved:

*Better options for the Commisioner in order to reset games or to have more control over the league.

*The ablility for users to be able to choose who they are playing, because of the fact that not all users are always on at the same time. What seems to happen is that it takes a while in order to advance a week. And if a week is advance the Commisioner has no control over who wins or loses.... so say for instance one user is never on, but yet the other user is always willing to play but can't because of the one who is never on... the Commisioner should be allowed to determine the winner of that game.

*The option to add Co Commishioners in order to keep the league in check.

*The trading system should be a little more in depth - maybe with a meter bar showing how much it benifits or hurts a team. And then the trades should be a option for the Admin of the league to Approve or Deny the trade.



Things I like:

* The full 17 week scheduele
* The playoffs
* The ability to add or take away a user from the league
* The Draft
* Rookie Draft ( but wish the rookie draft would vary in names - seems to be the same rookies in each league)
* The progression of players ( but wish it was a little more based on performance)


I know the EA would probally hate this.... but I also play Basketball online, and I really think that 2ksports system of their basketball league is pretty cool... Maybe EA could use a few features from there.. I would be very cool if EA and 2K could both combine ideas.

2k blows EA away in everything they do.

The website is terrible, it's barely half finished and you don't seem to be doing much about it

I have to delete my cookies every 5 mins to log back in, WHY. Its stupid, it gives the same error of the server being down when it clearly isn't

Why are the stats so poorly organised. How about a QB rating, how about, I don't know, simply putting Att > Comp > TD > Ints instead of the stupid jumble you currently have

Scoring summary is a complete **** up, fix it

Why can't you see league leaders

Why can't you sign free agents

Why can't a commissioner reverse a result and order it to be replayed

I am wanting to create an online franchise and I have 4 roommates inlcuding me. We obviously only have one ps3. Is it possible for my other roommates to each join the online franchise and have a team? If so please explain.

It's not bad and it's a start. I'm more concerned about Free angency and contracts being brought into online Dynasty. But the website isn't bad

The website barely works. I don't understand why everyone settles for half assed work. Surely it wouldn't be hard to fix the small changes such as the cookies issue and the stats. If they cant get this right what hope do we have for free agency

I can't connect!!! The server has been down since 8/20/09.

This is bush league, EA! Get it fixed! When I'm away from my XBox how can I check my Franchise?!?!?

I am continually told that the server is down, to try again in a few moments. Haven't ever seen this website server UP, so its now become a futile effort.

The reliabilty of the site is horrible. Most the time it doesn't recognize my login and password. Even though I use it to sign into easportsworld with it, which has issues of it's own.

Or I get a Server time out error.

Should I be surprised...no.

Website looks good and is a HUGE step in the right direction. Thanks for trying but I would be fired if I produced this mess. It is far from what was marketed. I feel lied to (again). Why is the data so jumbled. Where are you getting it from? It is near meaningless. I dont trust to make any online changes that would effect my game. If you cant display data correctly then how can I expect you to deliver my changes?
