Still haven't been activated, despite Customer Service advising me I have. Xbox here, sent another email back.. Fingers crossed it gets sorted this time.

Just had a quick online chat *THEY ARE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS* gave agent my gamer tag and dob and 3 mins later was activated really simple.

I phoned the UK customer services line (0870 2432435) on Friday evening, gave them my gamertag (I'm a 360-owner) and was activated for free while I was on the phone. Took less than 10 minutes.

OK, it was a mistake by EA, but I can't complain with how quickly they fixed it for me.

My one real criticism is that when the game starts, it check's EA's servers for notices. Why isn't there a big headline notice saying 'IF YOU DIDN'T GET A CODE, DO NOT BUY ONE FROM MARKETPLACE - CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS!'?

EA could be doing more to avoid people paying when they don't need to.

They charge for an extra code so people dont make multiple user names to play in the same league and then do crazy trades to make one team better.

Yeah, i sent the email, its been 24 hours and no reply, do i have to pay £6 or call them, which may cost my £6 anyway?

Hey, I've got a 360 and my code is only 4 sets of 4 letters and numbers. It's too short for a 360 code and when I enter it, it tells me it's no good.

I bought this thing brand new. Where do I go to redeem the code if not on XBL?

This is a damn joke, right? After 48 hours I still haven't an answer, and friends of mine got an answer within 10 hours. Is it so hard EA???

Your getting 1 XBL account to have access to online franchise. Comes free with the game. I dont see how allowing people to pay $10 to have access off the same disk rather than having to buy separate copies of the game a bad thing? Its not like this is EA selling cheat codes and things like that. Those things are disgraceful, this not so much. Though I do often wonder what my $50 a yr gold subscription is buying since nothing on XBL is free unless it comes dripping with ad revenue.

Have you filled out a ticket per the instructions above?

Just phone them. I did and it was then activated
