Haha, I actually expected this to be one of the threads that drops back to page 5 and is never seen again.

I was just feeling bad for the countless people who come to these forums for the first time with no idea of whats going on. Most of whom end up fading away before we even get to see their footage. Think about the possible legends we've missed out on simply because people showed up here a couple of months late...

Demz. Truth.

I made about 25 videos before I even got more than 3 comments on any of them. Yeah, most of them sucked... but as time went on I kept improving and people started noticing the effort I was putting into it.

Just keep at it, don't be a douche around the forums, and hang around for a while. Eventually you'll find a team that you fit right into... you don't have to go soul searching, and you can always ask people around here if they want to skate with you, without saying "let me on your team".

I'll add some input when I get home.

I noticed that a lot of people that become friendly, talkitive and helpful get views Real talk. I'm not even saying that to get everybody to be nice.

Not saying you gotta kiss anybody's butt but being friendly plays a good roll here, too.

Being a big ol meanie wont get you nowhere

AndDemz is totally right on that. On my 30 secs for my teaser I got nothing, except things about quality since I was editing (thanks Magic, but it would be too late for the full length since I had alredy just about finished filmign), I WILL NEVER GIVE UP-zorz.

Im new to the forums too but i do know that this is not the thread for that kinda stuff.

it's like junior high:
try and be yourself, as best you can, and sooner or later, you will find yourself e-hanging out with people that have similar styles/ideas/ect.

it's actually really simple.

i can make a safe bet in saying, whatever style you like, or want to have yourself... there are all kinds of people around the forums that can be very helpful in getting you where you want to be.


i don't remember if i read this anywhere yet or not, but one thing to keep in mind:
being on a team, usually means deadlines. it's awesome to skate, and be excited about filming...
the deeper you get into it, the more and more effort you have to put in.

not meant to be negative at all. just a heads up... some teams out there take the filming/editing/have these clips in by this date kind of stuff pretty serious. lol. something to think about.


oh, and rule #1:

hey i'm in a crew-(second comand)- and i was wondering about crew competitions............that would be awsome if like once a month (at least)............ if the guys from EA would host some........and if there are then tell me how i can get my crew entered?????????
