Hey Ladies,
I'm back its been a week since I started and I feel great. I haven't stepped on a scale but I'm seeing results. On my rest days I have been running and doing my slim in six stomach work. I also motivated my hubby he started working out but he's doing the P90X which I don't recommend for women. I am so excited that I'm getting healthy and in shape can't wait for the end results

Hey everyone, just wanted to check in since I've been MIA the past couple of days. It's been hectic, but I have managed to get my 30 Day Challenge, plus personal workout in every day since I started--tomorrow is Day 5 for me. I did take the rest day they suggested Thursday and worked out with my personal trainer instead. He has me do a lot of the same exercises, but with weights. I showed him some of them and he was impressed with the intensity of the program. He just doesn't know I may not need him anymore.
I'm alternating between the medium and hard exercises, depending on what they are. Why didn't anyone mention the holding squats or jumping alternating lunges? Talking about the burn? Whew...
I really love, love, love this program and am looking forward to hitting the end of the 30 days to see the results.
Now, how is everyone doing? What day are you on? How's your progress? Details, details. Especially you Comfort Shorts, since you've done the program before.

Finished workout #8 today and so far so good. I do think I'm going to have to elimate squats or at least not do so many since my knees are really taking a beating. Also my feet are hurting so I think I may have to change my snearkers. I do plan on adding extra cardio this week as well.
Hope everyone has a great week.

Hi all,
I'm Wana (thanks for inviting me Tee). I started the 30 day challenge a while ago but never finished so I'll be restarting it tomorrow. My immediate goal is to lose 10-15 lbs then move on from there as well as eating more fruits and veggies.

Congrats, Mel! I'm with you on the knees. Had to wrap my left knee last night because it's killing me, as is my ankle. I think it's because I didn't have shoes on yesterday while working out.
Hey Wana! So glad you're giving the program another try and that you've joined the group.

Well, I'm a little late joining the challenge as I just got my game yesterday. And I felt that workout when I went to get up from the sofa to go to bed! LOL The exercises involving the knees are a little hard for me since I have bad knees, but hopefully the weightloss and workout will improve that over time. Since I've lost a lot already, my knees do feel a little better. I will have to check out the other parts of this disk this weekend when I have more time.

LOL @ Nakea, poor thing.
Way to go Wana! I think it's easier when you know the lit ladies are in it with you. What's your favorite exercise so far?
Gayle, you can skip the exercises that affect your knees. I know I've had to skip lunges a few times. Let us know what you think of the rest of the program. I thought for sure you'd like the tennis and other sports.
As for me, I've made it to the halfway point and met all my goals, so I reset the goals and will be on Day 13 today (I believe). Last night was rough because of all the jumping lunges & holding squats, but I worked it on out. I'm still doing the challenge & then my own customized program, so I can get at least an hour in. And, I'm happy to say I lost 3 lbs this week, but I keep losing/gaining the same three, but it's a start.
How's everyone else doing?

Hello all:
I finished my 13th workout and am on day 18. Woohoo! I do think I'm going to have to ixnay the squats though. The game makes me go too daggone low, beyond what I feel is safe for my knees. Hopefully I can strengthen the muscles around the knees with the other exercise and add them back in.
I'm on easy intensity for this round. Easing myself back into consistent exercise and am really happy that I have been consistent with this. The next round will be medium intensity. I am also adding in two cardio workouts and am going to start taking a Zumba class. Wish me luck with that!
Let's do it!!!

Best of luck, Melody! I tried a Zumba class and could NOT hang. I think if it were a beginner class, I would've done better, but everyone but me knew the routine, so I walked out after 4 or 5 minutes. It looks like fun though.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to cut out the lunges because my knees have REALLY been hurting the past week or so. The squats don't bother me as much, maybe because I'm used to doing them. I'm not sure.

Today was technically a rest day on the 30 day challenge, but I went to Zumba, which totally kicked my bootay. But I hung although my moves certainly didn't mirror the instructor very often. But still it was fun and a nice way to get some extra cardio in. I'm going again on Friday.
Tomorrow, back to EA Active! Workout #14!

Just finished workout No. 6.
Tee I think I like the alternating lunges and toe touch the best. I know my least favorite are the squats they are too low for me and my knees so most of time I skip those unless it's a good day. The funny things is I did the holding squats today and liked them...guess it was a good day.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the bands, I know I'm not getting a good workout in my arms and shoulders. I can't find the band that came with the game so I bought some resistance bands from the store but hey have the hard handle on them and it's hard to get the controllers in the right position for the exercises even though I'm doing them. I also bought just bands without the handle but they keep slipping out my hands.
Tomorrow I'm going to move up to hard intensity.
Great job everybody.
Wana

Wana -- my resistance tubing has handles as well, but I slide the handles as close to one of the ends as possible so I can place the controller easier. Hope this helps. Also, to make the moves tougher, you can place your feet differently on the band -- the closer your feet are to the handles, the harder the resistance.
