Yeah I had to get the PS3 version because that's the only console I have a wheel for. They didn't waste time adding deformation to the PS3 version, all that happens when you crash is they add this ugly muddy texture to the car. Other than muddy textures the only damage that will happen is the bumper and hood will come off and a cracked windshield. I've been watching the videos of the 360 and PC versions and their cars actually get dented. Still a fun game, but this is why I hate getting multiplatform games on PS3
LOL! I just noticed now on the PS3 version, my car no matter how much it is trashed, it never deforms and only gets paint scratches... even in full damage settings.
Man, its just pathetic how many problems this game has... I just can't help but laugh.
Here is a better video, look around the 39sec mark they show a close up of the front bumper and hood. No deformation in PS3 version only ugly scratches. This sucks, and of course we're not going to get any word from EA on this.
Leads me to think MS paid another behind-the-scenes amount of dough for this... or what? The technology of the PS3 can most definitely handle the damage. Why is EA doing such stupid mistakes?

Leads me to think that development for the PS3 is to expensive and time consuming so they cut corners and ship and inferior product to the masses who can't tell the difference and don't care. And they get away with it and make us pay the same price. This is the first and last multiplatform game I ever buy on PS3.
I tried damaging my car in ps3 version and was able to get the hood and bumber off and rear trunk and then the usual garbage scratches.....the hood and bumber came off after about 5x of putting it in the wall at 150mph. lame.
Wow, I just picked this game up after being torn between the Xbox vs PS3 versions, and I'm super sad that I chose PS3... my g25 works decently well, but this damage thing is lame. I was really excited to finally have a semi-realistic racing game WITH decent damage modelling, and now I see that the PS3 version is gimped... I would sure like to hear if this is bug related (ie. patch coming?) or if this is how it is going to be. I really like the game but this is not cool.
