If you see this and are having this issue. Please post here. EA needs to see this is not working. They just told me it's my internet connection causing this. I said are you $uckin crazy. Look at the forums, you think evey one has an internet connection issues, but it only happens with Madden 2010. I don't have connect issues with any other games. This is complete BS.

Still nothing? Complete BS. This is not a problem with my PS3 or connection. This is EA's fault, and until it's fixed, EA stands for "Eat my A$s" Sports.

I need help!!!!!! I guess we all do, but this lobby freezen crap is driving me crazy...... Last night I even got a loss when I finally got into a game, I won, other player conceded, I accepted, then game came up that other player lost connection and asked if I wanted to continue agaist CPU, so I did........... WON 42 - 3 but I'm showing a F'n loss.... WTF, I can't get a break even when the game doesn't freeze in the lobby menu. Is there any help for this problem.... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it is not a easy process to simply patch an issue. There are certain steps that must be followed. All we can do is make the dev team aware of the issue and then unfortunately it becomes a waiting game. The more people are reporting this issue the more likely they will patch this.

Wow, what a lame response, you guys really stink. I've been all over the forums, everyone has been complaining about this since the game was released, and nothing has been done to fix it. I don’t see how the forums can help fix your crappy code.

well crap...this sucks...I just bought the game and wanted to play online against some people but it kept freezing up my system and have to completely shut the system down to get it to do anything. This sucks.

well...I submitted an email for support and this was the response
Here's my original I sent them and then their response.
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in Madden NFL 2010.
This could also be an issue involving corrupt game save files.Before deleting files I'll advise you to transfer your game save files to a memory card and once you have copied the files on the memory card, delete the game save files from the console hard disk.. You will need to remove game related save data by following the below given steps.
1. Press the PS button on the controller to enter the PLAYSTATION 3 XBM (XrossMediaBar).
2. Select the Game tab.
3. Select the Save Data Utility and press the X button.
4. Delete the file related to the game.:
Confirm that you have updated the Playstation 3 computer entertainment system with the most recent system software. You can check the version you have installed on your Playstation 3 by selecting:
- Settings.
- Then System Settings.
- Then System Information.
Confirm that you are not using any game modification devices. Unlicensed devices such as game modification devices can interfere with the proper function of the software. We do not recommend the use of any game modification devices or unlicensed products.

Got fed up and sent another email to complain. Glad to see they arent even reading these and they have some monkey sending out auto replies. Maybe if they took the time to read their customer complaints they would figure out how to fix the problem. Very disappoiinted in EA for this.
My Email
Since the release of Madden 10 I like many other players have had to deal with constant freezing while in lobbies. There is no rhyme or reason to this and i have already tried deleting files which I am sure will be your suggestion. MANY people are dealing with this and it can happen on most days as much as 75% of the time, usually resulting in powering down the system completely. This is absurd that with such a crippling, prevalent problem you guys will do nothing. I've been buying Madden almost every year since 1994 but as much as i love the game if this doesn't get fixed ASAP i wont be buying another. It's just not fair to treat your customers this way.
