I'm waiting for the roster update, but I intend to trade Cory Schneider and Shane O'Brien for a solid, young defenseman.

In my fantasy draft season, I traded Brian Gionta (85, C-) and Andrew Murray (76, C) for Marc Staal (86, B-) and a 4th round pick in the 2011/2012 season (I'm just simming the games to get a feel for the trade AI while I'm waiting impatiently for roster updates). I was already pretty deep at RW (I also had Havlat (85, C) and Franzen (83, C) plus Mayorov (80, B)) but weak on defense as 3 of my defensemen retired the year before (Gonchar, Salo, Niedermayer), so I had Corvo (82, C-) and a bunch of mid-to-high-70s players on D.

I traded Huet, Skille and another AHLer for Cam Ward and Scott Walker. Huet, in this game, sucks more than I think he does in reality. It also allowed me a lot of cap flexibility.

I don't remember what I got in return but I traded Jonas Hiller and he was on waivers the next week. It was bad enough that many teams that could have used him had too many goalies in their system so having the team I dealt him to risk losing him was really sad.

As the Flyers I sent Pronger to the Caps for Varlamov and their 1st round pick.

Sent Emery and Dingle (AHL) to the Bruins for Lucic.

Big mistake. Toskala is a stud. He's doing very well for me.

playing the leafs, i got bernier and a 2.round-pick for ponikarovsky and finger! (and it payd off... bernier is my actual topscorer)
and dustin brown for mayers, gunnarsson and a 3rd round pick...

also thought about trading toskala... but he's doing great (in game....) around 93 - 94%

In the final hours of the "trading deadline" i got what i wanted. I was looking for a solid d-man but not overpayed (6-7 mil) , and i ended up giving an offer to Nashville.

Matt Hunwick, 3rd round and 5th round pick for Shea Weber. And they accepted!

So my defence into the playoffs will be (hopefully):
