ok plain and simple....WTF is going on....it looks like everybody is having the same problem...I was a level 45... I had 18 million dollars all the cars BLAH BLAH BLAH...WTF....EA tell me what the @$%@% happen and i dont want money from you I just want my @$@@ cars and my carear back......THATS ALL I WANT.......OTHER WISE I WILL STAR A CAMPAIN AGAIST YOUR VIDEO GAMES.

we need a resolution on this EA. It's apparently been months since the first reported case of this saved game data loss / corruption.

I also have this problem. Just happeneed for the 3rd time. I am on level 50 have over 1.5 million career points and 65 million dollars/credits or whatever they are. I live in Australia and this game retails for $120 here! What a bloody waste of money! I have started regularly backing up my data but as this takes over an hour I'm NOT going to do it after every time I play this game. Please resolve this (and the MANY other bugs in this game) E.A. it's ruining what could have been a great title. You should be completely ashamed allowing a game with this many bugs in it to go to market.

same problem here last night only start carear and options on my menu. im on the PS3 and if u look at my stats i put alot of time into this game and now this happens.

copy lock sucks!!!!! would sure be nice to back up my save game data to a flashdrive so this stuff dosent have to happen. i had my ps3 crash and i lost alot of data before so now i try to back up everything i can. but certain games wont let u do that for some dumb reason. only thing is i cant think of a good reason not to let me back up my progress?

Agree that the copy lock/protection sucks. This is almost a carbon copy of the problems that plagued Pacific Rift originally. They were able to remove the copy protection from the save eventually though - hopefully the Shift team does the same.

I recently restarted Shift for the third time, made it all the way to Platinum this time (finally!) so I hope I can continue to enjoy it for a while longer before my save corrupts again. Seems pretty inevitable it happens eventually though, despite taking all the precautions.


I'd been holding out for another fix/patch, but it looks pretty unlikely now.

Juste happen to me yesterday... level 28 / 4m / 340 stars... "??&%*?&$&%?$&?$%&*(%?*&?$&?%$*&?%"

first it was a problem with the sound (glistch) a week before , after that befor all my data was lost - it's the timming for my event race... chrono part (what ever the name) ... no time was available...only 0:00 for the fist,second and the place...and finally.... just see my lotus...and my only two choice is to star a new carrere and option

I download the patch available for ps3 user online ... maybe that's the problem ???


so i will waiting to play with it again until EA fix that...COMMON GAYS @EA COMMON

I remember something.... they was no timing for the race i was playing before this thing happen. nNo time for the race and no time to beat for the 1,2 3 places (i was on a chrono race)

Although I'm not a NFS SHIFT player yet, but I clearly know the pain of losing ALL THE PROGRESS we've made! I've played PROSTREET until June last year due to the yellow-line of death of my PS3, before that disaster happened, I've already lost my 100% save once, and I took another5 months to chase back the progress, now, I've totally lost incentive on playing NFS games, You know, there are many high quality racing games/sims. Like PD's GxxN TxxxSMO, Codxxasxer's Cxxxn Mcrae DiRT 2. The reason that I'm considering coming back to NFS society is I STILL DON'T KNOW WHEN PD WOULD RELEASE THEIR REAL MASTERPIECE and I JUST WANT 2 PLAY SOMETHING TO MAKE ME FEEL LESS BORED!! I became NFS fan after the releasing of Hot Pursuit 2 and enjoyed a lot, But after discovering that our save can not be shared and backed-up, I was completely disappointed! I don't care how many sexy rides you've got, what I do care is a recoverable save! I don't want a game that I can't back-up my save data and have to go back to 0% completed when my PS3 die again or crash while the game was saving the data!!! LOSSING FANS IS YOUR OWN FAULT THAT NO ONE WOULD FORGIVE YOU!!! Please let us, the PS3 gamer, have chance to protect our own save data!
