I want to join this thread for the 30-day challenge!
The last 30-Day challenge, I didn't make it to the end, but I was happy with the setting on HARD.
I weigh 140 lbs (it refuses to budge!) at 5'7 and I aim to lose 5 lbs within these next 30 days.
Here's to us!

I did workout #12 and #13 on Monday and Tuesday with Wednesday as a rest day. #14 was yesterday and I plan to do #15 today after work. I finally dropped a couple of more pounds to I hope I am coming off of my plateau.
I started last July at 224 with a goal of 200. I am down to 204.

I am starting on 10/17/09 and will be more than happy to weigh in although I had just restarted the challenge. I look forward to reading everyones success on Sunday.

FIRST WEEKLY WEIGH IN
How are we all doing?
So this week I've lost:
(A) 1 inch off my waist
(B) 1/4 inch of my arm
which means I've lost no weight and no inches off anywhere else , however I am feeling healthier than a couple of weeks ago and I have a bit more energy
But I know why I didn't do well this week... I haven't exercised since Wednesday and all I ate yesterday was junk food! Gonna do my challenge today and a preset workout to compensate for my slacking.
Do you guys have any custom workouts?
eure_curry - Sunday or Monday? It's your choice, I'll probably be doing mine on a sunday
burgymom - How much weight are you hoping to lose?

Hi everyone I just bought EA Sports Active today and have just started. I have done my workout for day 1 of the 30 Day Challenge. I had been doing Wii Fit for just under a week and wanted something that pushed me harder, and was a bit more serious. Wii Fit is great and I will still use it but this program is much more specific.
It's very interesting to read some of the comments on this thread - I am embarking on a new fitness regime, albeit it being 'front room' based! I have been working out for nearly a week now and today was the first day with the EA Sports game. I still feel quite tired but before (my old 'no exercise' life) it was just lethargic whereas now I am a bit achey but I feel good mentally. I am keen to make changes to my eating habits as well. I eat a reasonably balanced diet but the portions we eat as a family are huge. I am finding that there is a big difference between eating a portion that provides sufficient calories and nutrients for your body and stuffing your face so that you stagger away from the table and promptly fall asleep or collapse lol. Even though my meal portions have been smaller I have not been going hungry because I have been snacking on fruit as and when I need it. Because I am eating more sensibly now anyway the foods I am eating keep me full up for longer anyway. Any forum members thoughts on this would be fab! I read on the forum that the fitter you get the weaker the cravings are for 'snacks' and sugary things that I relied on before.
I'm looking forward to keeping this up as I'm not particularly overweight but I do have a bit of puppy fat I could get rid of and I would like to tone up a lot more - it's all gone down hill since getting a full time desk job. Another reason I am looking forward to making a success of it is that I have started a get fit regime many times before only to let it slip after a while - so heres to my success and of course - to everyone elses!!!
Good luck everyone and chat very soon

loser995...I would be thrilled to get down to 125 (18 pounds from today). Anything more than that would be a bonus. But my primary goal is to lose some inches around my middle so that maybe I don't have such a bad "muffin top" over my favorite jeans anymore.
Unfortunately, for this first weigh in I am going the wrong way! I weighed in this morning at 143...2 pounds heavier than last week. But I have only done 2 days of the challenge so that will change very soon! I am also going to take measurements this afternoon so that I can monitor my success on more than just the scale.
For those of you who also have Wii Fit, the newest Wii Fit Plus has an awesome new feature. In addition to some fun new games, you can switch players very easily. There are five people in my family, so that has always been a major complaint for us (and a huge source of sibling arguing). But now, problem solved! Worth the $20 to give the Wii Fit new life with my three kids.

evolutionbluesky...I have to agree with what you have read about cravings subsiding from healthier eating. Before getting pregnant with my third child, I lost weight with Weight Watchers. I don't know if it was just changing my eating habits or the thrill of success when losing weight on the scale every week, but my cravings for sweets did drop temendously. I noticed that when I would occasionally splurge on sweet deserts that I would actually feel sick to my stomach afterwards. Now if I could just get back to that point again. My youngest is now 5 and I still have yet to lose the 20 pounds I gained with her. But I am watching what I eat again, walking a few times a week, and doing this 30 Day Challenge, so hopefully I can finally get those pounds off again, tone up my body, and keep up with my three active kids in the process!

Did my weigh in and gained a pound but my clothes are loser and my legs feel tighter so that works for me. I really try to watch what I eat, and eat clean, but this weekend was ~ well let's just say I wasn't my best at it. So today starts a new day and with that more motivation.
I'm 5'7 and now starting at 155. On day 5 of the 30 day challenge, and adding some preset workouts afterwards. I am going to lose those 25-30 lbs. I feel I am finally totally focused on this.

Well, I hate to say it but my first weigh in weight is 173. I did 4 out of 7 workouts last week but yesterday I was just too sore from increasing the intensity from medium to high on Saturday's workout. I guess I will be going back to Medium for now.
Good luck everyone.

Weigh-in as of Monday in the AM: 139 lbs.
Not saying much though, as I am always between 138-140, but I'll see if this becomes a consistent trend. Feels good to start up a new 30-Day Challenge and stick with it this time for sure!

Hi guys,
I hope it's OK if I join in? I started my 30 day challenge last night. I weighed in at 187.3, i'm 5'10".
I'm very excited about this program and I LOVED the workout last night. I didn't have many issues with the wiimotes either, all very easy to use.
Looking forward to next week's weigh-in, good luck everyone! xo
