mike and christian (sp?). thanks for your efforts!

i would suggest a march madness bracket type deal where each team have a tourney amongst themselves and send their top 5-10 (whatever it turns out to be # wise) guys to a bracket. everyone else goes to the NIT. then each individual (or team game, either way) earns point for their corresponding team. team with the most points at the end wins.

I want to applaud you again guys for really stepping up your efforts this year and making the game and especially the online play the best it's ever been....huge kudos.

I have to echo Pish's comments on the 1st page. I would never consider playing against TGV....we are a very tight knit community and many of us have been together for years. We've become friends and if I was forced to play against them then I would choose to sit out that event. I'm sure not everyone feels that way but it's how I would have to approach that type of event...sorry.

There have been many great ideas thrown around here thus far and no matter what you choose I know it will keep the game fresh and interesting......keep up the good work.

....and Mike.....it's probably a good idea to come up with a new plan to dethrone TGV or revoke your comments on the beard.....CCC's pictures ain't even close to what you'll have to endure.....on a good note though.....maybe ZZ Top is looking for some extra members....

Another idea would be after your team wins, then they sit out the next week. The weekend tournament ends up being a battle between the top 2 teams of the weekday event. Then at the end of 10 weeks or whatever you have a tournament with all the weekend winners. This would give more teams the opportunity to play on the weekend. TGV may not like it, but they need to remember the health of these fan appreciation events depends on participation by many clubs. If it ends up being just 1 or 2 teams week in and week out then in the end that is all that will likely be playing week in and week out.

I would also very much like to see one of the week's be an Extreme format.

I think this is a pretty good idea. Maybe do it monthly. Have 4 weekly winners and then have them in a tourney at the end.

i like the league vs league tournaments. A good change would be for each member that plays in the tourney gets a random course and sets that isnt shown before you enter. give each member a different course and if you need more courses then just change the sets for a certain course. You would probably need to make sure that each team is using the same courses though.

the best thing to do is to make it so that nobody knows what course they r playing and keep it at 1 try only. im sure that would be a pain in the * for the ea guys though

That would be a great idea....player 1 from each team gets Sawgrass....player 2 gets Boston....and so on. Once you reach the total # of courses then start over again..... live weather would work for this too because it would change by the time the course came back around....

the fact that some teams are finding it hard to put up 20 scores needs looking at wots wrong with the best 15 going forward,
making the game harder is not the way forward that just makes the devide between good, av and beginers players bigger,
ramdom holes, single try, 30 sec shot clock,
real golf has a handycap system mybe that can be put into the game, ie rank players on team play only then handycap to suit,
removing the winners is a no no, winners can be beat
theres always room for improvment nice to see your working on it

I think the best way to eliminate the multiple accounts and names and mapping is to shorten the time of the tournament. The window to play needs to be 2 hours at the most, maybe even 1 hour. Then all the teams could play the same tournament with a real-time leader board. I know the problems of getting everyone online at the same time but I think the positives would outweigh the negatives. They could still do the weekly tournament with the winners facing off in THe King of The Hill at 9 pm est on Saturday nights and a winner being decided by 11 pm .

So my members from the UK need to shoot at 3am? My buddy that works the nightshift is out? Don't think this will work at all. (I do understand what you are trying to accomplish).

Yes and yes

I know it has problems but it would create a pressure packed, one try tournament for the king of the hill

Would it be possible to have no details of the tournament except the venue before entering? Then, once agreeing to enter the tournament, one has a finite time in which to complete it - say 45 mins. So entering the tournament, which should be a 1 try only, sets off a count down clock. If you don't complete the course in that time you are disqualified. To counter the pundits that use multiple IDs; the weather is random for every entry.

Have a 2,or 3 man team bracket tournament. Each league creates their own teams. Then what you can do is randomly post who plays what team. Than you post another daily tournament for all teams to play. You add the team indv daily tourney scores together to determine a final score and the winner of the match.

Example:
Team A.....vs........Team B

Mike -15 ..............Tiger -12
Christian-18...............Phil -10
total = -33..............total= -22

Also, get rid for the king of the hill tourney. Have where it's possible for two different leagues playing one another each week. Right now, whoever is the king of the hill, does not even have to really play the first round because they are automatically in the finals. Each week should be 3 round tourney. Have where you only have two days to play each round. After the first round eliminate a portion of the leagues playing. The next round combined the first round with the second round to determine the top two leagues that will be playing for the championship.

Another idea is have gale force wind on the daily tourney. If you preset the wind, have where nobody can post their gamernet score until the tourney is over with. If this is not even possible I would not even waste the time to preset the wind for this tourney ever again in my opinion.
