Question: WTF is wrong with people?
Welcome to the world of online gaming...if you let douchbags like this affect you then you take video games far too seriously.
Move on.
You're missing the point, it's got less to do with how serious people take these games or how this type of behavior affects someone, it's scenarios like the one I described that simply beg the question of, Why? What is it about a losing a game that makes people act like complete A-holes? Or even when they win for that matter and still act like A-holes. I think BlahQGhozT's response was pretty much dead on. Like I said, I mostly wanted to get a feel for the atmosphere in these forums regarding how other people feel and/or handle this type of on-line behavior. Obviously I'm not alone...

I'm not whining because I hav'nt tried online yet,so...I'v been holding off playing online, love the concept(team play & VS human AI) hav'nt been online yet because of the bad things I've read on these forms.....Cheesing,freezing(poet & still don't know it) not playing "realistic hockey".Do i just have to do the trial by air way to find clean(no cheesing, love the hitting & fighting when nessesary) fun but competive hockey. Is there a list of bad online players, not an official one but by word of mouth ?? Hope I'm not reapeating P.S. I don't care about winning or losing, nice to win of course but not important, having fun matters more.I'm competative but would just like a good fun online game

learn to laugh at people like this and you'll find online gaming very, very entertaining

Seriously though online gaming and general society has been going downhill fast in the last 10 years. I remember even 6-7 years ago, it was rare to find someone who wouldn't say things like "Good Game", and even the kids that played were usually respectful and not just yelling into there mics. It seems like the exceptions those days, are now the majority.

I agree that the NHL 10 community and society in general is pretty pathetic these days. Where is the respect, morals, honor, and integrity? Honestly, there are so many corrupt people that play this game, it makes you lose faith in humanity. Why do people always talk trash to each other? Why do people have to do whatever it takes to win (glitch/exploit)? How can you walk away from a victory and feel good about yourself knowing that you did not deserve it and cheated to get the win? What kind of person are you? Seriously?
I hope the culprits I am referring to look in the mirror and realize how big of scumbags they are and change for the better.
