Need for Speed Racing Games

Playstation 3 -I got back in the game.
Those that have the problem with NFS Shift save game forcing you to start a new career. I got this information from a post in this forum and gave it a try. After you start the new career and complete the opening races. When you are given the opportunity to pick you first car purchase a car that you have not had before from the Playstation store. Once I did this I went directly in to the first career race without going to the garage. After I completed the race I went to the garage. PS3 froze and I had to re-start system. Went back in to game and this time I was able to access the garage. There were 3 available slots all other slots were locked. The three slots were filled with three of my cars. I sold one and the spot was filled with another one of my cars form the game. So I sold every car but my two best cars. I was a level 49 at that point and I have since moved to level 50. That unlocked 2 more garage slots and now I have 5. It’s not perfect but I have all my xp, awards and the money from selling all the cars.

Just a few examples

Oh well, maybe we have all just imagined this very same problem.

I have this same problem just happened last night and it is a month after the last post here. I dont think they fixed it yet. Im on PS3 got to like 800k in xp 27/30 trophies all invitational stars and all stars in tiers 1-3 and about half of the stars in tier 4. had 18 epic badges all corners mastered from doing quick races etc... now i get this problem and since the profile is copy locked i cant back up my save data on a flashdrive so now i get to start all the way over... what a joke! wasted a whole lot of time on a game like 78% of trophies all i had let was to collect to more epic badges (beet all rival and finish collecting all stars) and win nfs championship to get my 100% platnum trophy. i guess the trophies dont matter much but when u invest all that time to have the GAME (NOT YOU) screw up it makes you wonder why did i pay 65$ after tax for this game? AND WHY CANT I BACK UP MY SAVE DATA SO THIS DOSENT HAVE TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Another hint for you. Since this problem is platform independent, you might start by asking those people affected by this to send you a copy of their save game file(if possible, i'm not familiar with the PS3). That seems to be the logical first step. I'll get back to you on how to write out the check.

i just got this issue today. My last time playing was the 13th of this month (10 days ago) after installing the new DLC. I played that day without issue. I try to play today and only get the Start Career and Options menu.

I've been at level 50 for quite some time. I have over 18 million dollars and a pretty full garage. Now I can't play the game because after racing the test run, I can't buy a car to "start" my career because it says I have no slots. I could have sworn that I had 2 slots left the last time I played.

I DO NOT want to start over! If that is the only option, then I'll be pretty much done with any game from EA. This is ridiculous! Number 1, why can't we back up our game saves????? No. 2, from reading this forum, ON THE EA SITE, this seems to be a common and well known issue, so why haven't you done anything about it????? No. 3, I JUST got the new DLC and thank you for that, and for making it free, but what good is it, if I can't play the damn game?????

I just wanted to restart my PS3 and play NFS after all the food & fun.
But oh noes! There's the 'Start new career' bug.

I'm freaking level 50, over 1 million of carreer points.
Almost all badges etc...
