That'd be awesome
catching system might be fun but when it all comes down to it everyone's tricks will probably still look the same. And if they did look the same what would be the point in using it when your working on a video?
Id rather see them work on a proper switch stance. Someone had an idea using the left stick to flick it and the right stick to control of course with it looking good. It might seem annoying or hard to some but that is what switch is its challenging, and takes lots of practice. I think for any switch trick you do it would be 50x more rewarding. Then you will hear people saying man that guy kills switch tres or switch crooks whatever. It would be a lot of work but i think it would be worth it.

sure it matters if the tricks always look the same. Its about time they stepped there game up and had an attributes system for the people that love realism. I am sure a lot of people would love to have the option to change the way all there tricks look.
and what is wrong for using left stick for switch stance tricks you act like its a terrible idea. Maybe your not digging it because it would actually be somewhat challenging?
It all makes sense when you look at it switching stance = switching stick for switch and fakie. Sorry but using the right stick upside down for switch stance is stupid.

oh i think the sticks switch is a awful idea....but it would b challenging no doubt...
but really if it was that way...u guys wouldnt have a challenge cuz how hard would it be 2 do a switch flip down a 6?
come on....i gotta go with demz on this one....theres so many things they added 2 the game...but ur not seeing the big picture..U GUYS R GETTING WHAT U WANTED..so please stop nit picking and enjoy that we r getting another skate and not playing s2 forever...

so you think going against what every game has worked so hard to do is a good idea. what im talking about is, since the begining on everything games have had left joystik move, or only joystik move. making your right joystik as the move joystik would ruin everything. just think about when ur trying to do a LONG line for example:
kickflip to 5-0 ledge fakie out(now ur controls are totally inverted) next trick you roll up and try to do a switch 270 tail down hubba and fail terribly cuz you forgot that everything went inverted cuz ur so used to what every other game has done. creating a diferent control scheme would totally F things up. and i know many people who feel the exact same way as me about this certain situation uve brought up.

well at least it would be more challenging then just flicking the right stick into a nollie flip position. How about a fakie tre tailslide something a bit more technical or a switch tre 5-0. It would easily be much more rewarding from the way you do it in S1-S2.
switch stance is suppose to be the opposite from how you normally skate not upside down

If they did do switch controls then they'd have to mirror every button
Cos on ps3 you push with square or X with your right hand
If you then had to steer with the right stick as well it could get confusing IMO

I am not going against anything. I think even cuz said the switch stance was like a accident just happened?
Your not seeing it from my point of view. If they did something like this I think they would have to make some changes like mocapturing the tricks, stance, animations, make reverts quicker.
The way I look at it when your in switch stance there is no holding down the stick for preload your automatically in a switch stance animation. You can push you can flip you can grind whatever but its all done by using the left stick and right stick to control. I don't understand why you think it would totally ruin things. If anything it would make switch more challenging.
I wouldn't say this is inverted its just using the opposite stick. You flick the same way you do on the right stick.

its not my theory like I said about it was someone elses idea. I know people would be scared of a change but i think its a pretty rad idea.
