Would love to see in-game voice comms, much like you see in FPS games. Although you can always use things like Ventrilo or TeamSpeak, its so much better when its handled in game, so for example when you go into a race it automatically connects you with the other drivers.
Please, EA, if you do implement voice comms at least include a mute feature though!

Avatars / Characters in 3D
...Bring back 3D racers models. It was pretty cool in Carbon, but they were just for Bosses of the areas, like Kenji, Wolf and others... People could make they avatars and in races it will be displayed in they car. See picture below to see what I mean.

Sounds silly but that's a good idea !
I don't know what's the role of the avatar going to be. I guess it won't be just sitting in the car and making angryface or happyface depending on the situation...

having 3D avatars would be cool... but just to use them for in-game chat or in-game community events on a parking lot or something (like a SEMA show on a very reduced scale), because otherwise WO would be just similar to GTA and that's not the idea.
EDIT: (im quoting one of my own posts from another thread here)

Maybe like... a free roam map, with the ability to park at a dinner, or house (something) and it loads into a chatroom... with voice.
i really like that idea!
nfs_web.l3reakinLaws911 wrote:Perhaps find a way to come to terms with the PC XBOX and PS3 servers and LINK them together. The worst part about these systems is that they're $400+ ... your buddy ends up buying the PS3 and you got an XBOX, you have the same games but can't flippin play together.
being NFSWO PC ONLY i seriously doubt that... unless you can run it on Linux or MacOS... in that case it would be really something, since having friends to race together regardless of the type of computer they are running would be awesome
nfs_web.l3reakinLaws911 wrote:Also, maybe a walking charactor... Customizable hair, face, body, clothing... and be able to walk around in free roam.
i would prefer something more of the lines of a customizable avatar (specially for in-game chatrooms like in your first idea) and a driver that automatically matches the avatar appearance... having a walking character is pretty much like turning NFS into GTA in my opinion.
nfs_web.l3reakinLaws911 wrote:
Drag racing in free roam... be able to setup from point A to point B.
this is where i say that this idea should be expanded to other race modes as well, like sprint and grip races, where you can choose which routes/streets/roads you can and can't go during the match!, that said there should be a race mode called street drift where (like that name says) you have to drift through certain parts of the city (can be user created as well)
nfs_web.l3reakinLaws911 wrote:Ability for other drivers, not in the race, take part in the distruction of other players that are racing.
i didnt understand that part very well because... ¿why do you want to destroy another players when you are not in a race?
anyway... the way i see a cool gameplay mode would be helping another player who's being pursued by the cops to get rid of them...
and maybe...
doing that during an special event where the cops go all crazy and goes hunting everyone would be so totally awesome!

The Racers' Hub...
I mentioned something called the racers hub in an earlier post, just to expound on it. The racers hub would be a community place in a "safe" zone for all racers. T racers hub would be combination of the personal garages and the club houses but it will serve as a central hub for every body and it would be the place in the game where you could get all the info on about WO world. Info would include but not limited to everyone stats in the game, the games' credit sheet, all the territories and who controls them, any and everything about WO.

Wall-of-Fame
It would be a wall(s) located in various parts of the city with the players user-name written in garfete for achieving the highest ranks. Drift Kings, Circuit Master, Drag Kings, and so on.. would have their own wall. I would that the walls be located in areas where large number of cars can gather but out of the way of main racing routes.

Engine Bay Customisations
In U2 it was great how you could pop the hood and cram some neons in there to show off your bay but how about one step futher? Let us change the colour of certain tubing parts, engine parts and so on? I mentioned boot installs earlier on but how about the interior in general? Im pretty sure Ive seen in another game (I think it was TDU - oshay will no doubt confirm or deny this! ) that you could adjust the interior kit of your car like the seat colour and so on.

Sure can, does not Shift allow hose types of interior customizations? I say allow use to also put neon in the interior.

Couldnt remember; only really played Shift a few times and wasn't a huge fan - I prefer my arcade over my simulation
Saying that however, been playing a bit of Pro Street again this morning and it made me think of something. Dillano mentioned in another thread it would be pretty cool to have the car park meets and so on - why not have something like what Pro Street does at race events where by it could populate an area with all the players who are in the meet/event and have free floating cameras to see each others cars?
To go on step further with it, allow players to manipulate other players cars like you could in photoshoots in Underground 2? Now obviously it wouldnt be real time as you would have players fighting for control over cars in some cases, but it could just be something which is effectively offline (but still online... if you can follow my ramblings). Alternatively, have players in control of their own car but then this makes it harder to go view other players cars if you're too busy popping the boot on your own one!

Shift's interior customisation is very primitive. You go to the upgrades menu, then you choose the cockpit upgrade button which just transforms the interior from stock to race style.
With customization please use ProStreet/Carbon's vinyl placing system! Or it would be nice if you can point and click where you want the stickers. And for goodness' sake make sure the vinyls can be mirrored, scaled to infinity, colored whichever color and placed wherever. Not like Shift.
Interior customization - Some options that MCLA had would be cool, or racing seats and roll cage works nice too.
A photoshoot mode would be nice as well.

Lots of creativity going on here! Awesome!
Pro Street had some awesome character animations in the "cutscenes" but I doubt that you'll be able to get your avatar out of the car.
I would like to see betting with the other racers in the pre-race room. Its a way to make some extra profit.
Speaking of clans (crews..whatever) , there should be wars between them. The world is divided in territories and this hints that maybe..just maybe there could be territorial control.
My ideas about holding and taking territories:
The clan willing to overtake a territory from another clan should challenge them into a clan war - an event where two teams (a 3-player team for each crew) compete through various events chosen by the attacked clan .For every event , all players get points depending on their position. The team with most points wins the clan war.
If the attackers lose the war - they pay money from the clan bank and if there's no money, their cars go to the opposing clan's car park.
If the attacked lose the war - they give up the territory.
If the attacked clan doesn't respond for more than 3 days , the attacker takes hold of the territory automatically
Advantages from holding a territory - You get money from every event in the territory PLAYED in PVP MODE (In the peak hours you get most money but there will be a lot of crews which would like to have your territory at the same time).

Add the visuals from U2, Juiced 2, Autoscult, and the full interiors from TDU add them to WO. EA would be nominated the King of Visual Customizations. That title would read, "For having the most extensive visual customizations of of all racing games every."

Some guy posted an awesome idea about customization...decided to bring it here.
cem_ea_id.homelessrichman wrote:
1) I want to be able to create my own vinyls and save them so I can use them on different cars easily.
2) I want to be able to make even smaller vinyls as I use them for line corrections and what not.
3) I want a closer maximum zoom to help with the minor details
4) I want to be able to switch what I refer to as the "Parts Gap" on and off. The "Parts Gap" is the change in the vinyl when it crosses from one part to another such as the hood to the side panels.
5) I want to be able to have a place to sell my finished cars or just flaunt them in-game.
6) I want a color matching system that is easier than counting clicks from a base point.
7) I want a quick way to outline my vinyls (place a stripe of color around a selected vinyl or set of vinyls).
I want the vinyl layer menu to highlight the selected vinyl is some way without having to edit it and then back out to the layer menu
9) I want a preview of the vinyls off the car that I can turn off when I memorize where they are.
10) Lastly, I would recommend putting in a way to keep most people from getting overwhelmed by the visuals content, such as a Master Designer mode with all the fully fledged visual capabilities and Designer mode that keeps the design system as it was in ProStreet, which I believe has remained relatively unchanged by Undercover and Shift.
