I like it so far. Both of the reviews i have encountered have gone my way.
1. Rolston scored on what the refs thought was a high stick. Stick just below the crossbar: GOAL
2. Same as above except with Byron Bitz

That's unfortunate. I think from a programming stand point, when the player started to turn it equaled a kicking motion.
Looks like something that'll be fixed for NHL 12 though!

Also happenned to me. I get injured by a shot going left of the goalie that goes in on the right (deflection) and they waived it off. I've seen 3 bad calls up 'til now.
Also, they show random angles for the instant replays were, sometimes, you can't even judge if it's a high-stick or not. In addition, there is no goal-line review and there is no ''man-in-crease'' reviews (aka goalie interference or blocking the movement to get to the puck)
But I guess that it took one year to put a decent feature and they'll take at least 5 years before thinking of upgrading it correctly just like Be-A-Pro.

One of the drawbacks of sports games is that developers cant put all their effort into making one, awesome sports game. They have to cut out features in one year, so they can sell the game next year.
Hopefully one day we only have one big sports game that is constantly updated with new features rather than yearly installments.

I've had around 10 reviews and only 1 was wrong, it was a kick in.

It's been a month and a half since the game came out, and I'd say that I've witnessed a goal review about 20 times. Every single one these goal reviews has yielded the correct decision. I always expect the decision to be wrong, but it is ALWAYS right.
Is there anyone that's gotten the wrong conclusion in a goal review?
Also, what do you think about the goal review system?
Its decently solid, although I did see a "highstick" review get called a no-goal when it was VERY VERY clear it was deflected below the cross-bar (even from the terrible angles they choose to show it to you), only one of those I've ever seen called wrong.
Seen a few "kicks" called wrong as well.
Most of the time its correct however.
I'd like to see "puck over the goal line" reviews as well

A goal so easy to score, you can do it in the CHL. |

lol that really sucks. it'll be great next year when "puck over the line" reviews are introduced

Has anyone noticed the goal-review feature being absent on penalty shots? I've had a couple goals scored on me where the cpu player tries the puck kick deke and misses his stick and the puck ends up being kicked directly into the net with no review

i dont think ive ever seen a goal review on a penalty shot in real life, i mean how often would it be needed?
in real life there just wouldnt be a time where a player kicks the puck in on a PS, initiating review.
the developers probably thought it wouldn't be necessary to apply it to penalty shots.

I don't recall many goal reviews on penalty shots in real life, but the rules still apply...
