Belgium. Still no patch. Sorry if this is off topic somehow.

How do I identify that the patch has been installed (on PS3)? I've seen version numbers thrown about - where can I find what version of Shift I'm running?

US Pacific time zone (California) - Two PM and no patch in sight...

To check your game version, you need to navigate the Xbar menu (whatever SONY is calling it) to the "Game" column, then navigate to the top, where there is a folder named "Game Data Utility" or something similar. You should see two animated thumbnail screens for NFS:Shift: One is for the original install from Disc, the other is for the first patch. If you select the one for the patch, and choose "Options" (triangle button - sheesh!) then select "Info", you should get a display that says V1.01.

That's what I'm getting so far, at least!

The official Blog says that when you start up the game on the patch date (TODAY) you will be automatically prompted to download the new patch. Didn't happen. Hopefully it will, later on.

Hopefully at some point (TODAY?) there should be a third thumbnail screen to select that will say V1.02!

Figures, even the PATCH couldn't be handled smoothly! Welcome to amateur hour!

I downloaded the patch 11 hours ago, in Aus. Upgraded Aston Martin vantage was undriveable around Autopolis before patch, now handles well. Also had same problem with Audi rs4 fully upgraded, I swear that car now is actually faster. Bouncing is gone, control and handling overall seems tighter too (gamepad), not as much sliding, more understeer. I have PS3 and pc version, can't wait to try the pc patch with my wheel!

You do realise that it's Sony's responsibilty to actually release the patch?

I know that someone in another thread who had the patch said he was Canadian.

In Canada as well here and still no patch.

I'm in Canada, and have had the patch installed since yesterday.

I'm enjoying the game much more, while things still need to be addressed this is a start, and better not be a finish.

I'm situated in Norway, where the patch has been available for hours.

Done some more races in Tier 4, and this game still got serious framerate issues (slowmotion) on some tracks.

Hopefully this will be looked into, but it is a disappoinment that this wasn't tested out properly
by the developers. It takes me 5 minutes to determine that something isn't right. Why can't you?

But at least the bouncing is gone, I'll give you that.

I've yet to be able to download the patch but from what I've read there are still some issues with frame rate. This is number one on my list of complaints. Shift is a great game and offers a real sense of speed but on some tracks it's like you're going 20 miles an hour. Car bounce was number 2 but it seems that it has been fixed so I can't wait to give this game another go. Online is another area that needs to be addressed in my opinion, it would be nice to be able to join races already in session. Viewing a list of lobbies would make things much better. Just my 2 cents........

Great to hear that some problems are fixed, although I have to wait til December 1st.
And for the next patch I'd like visual customization to be fixed, surely it can't be hard to patch, and it would make the game a bit more enjoyable in my opinion.

Oh. Well, in that case, I'm somehow magically no longer frustrated, and everything is great. Except I don't yet have the patch, which judging from reports, still doesn't fix some of the most glaring issues... Thanks for straightening me out. I'm glad that this sort of thing is in the hands of professionals.

Has the gearbox issue with Works cars that gave them very low top speed after you did some tuning been fixed? A works M3 E36 not able to go faster than 145 mph and the like?
