Awesome news, I was waiting for this. Good looking out RNP.

They absolutely should have ring restarts, ref involvement gives life and realism to gameplay. In real life I like for the ref to be involved as little as possible, but it's fun when the ref reacts to you in MMA games.

I hope they implement yellow cards in some way, a lot of people complain about stick block spamming in Undisputed. Maybe if there is too much lay and pray, eventually you could be disqualified.

As long as ring restarts are done fast and efficiently then I would love them. I want the strategy element that ring restarts create but not the time issues.

But its still good to me, the best parts of PRIDE will all be in this game eventually. Ok I misinterpreted what he was saying. Having Pride rules are good enough though Hopefully we will get some Japanese refs for the presentation

Thanks for the news rear naked poke. Pride rule sets is really great to here. Can't wait untill september.

I think ring restarts are neccesary so that someone can't just sit on someone for 15+ minutes doing nothing.

I don't want to use the analogue stick to strike someone.... thats stupid, I want to use the face buttons, that is what made me hate fnr4.

well. using the stick gives the gamer a better feeling about the game so learn it .

I hope everybody can try to throw a superman punch and elbows and all that. And everyody should do a front kick, side kick and all that. somebody with perfection

You wont have to use the right analogue stick for striking if you dont want to, the developers have already said that all controls will be fully customisable, meaning basically that you can change the button configuration, to allow you to punch and kick with the face buttons.

i'll be using the stick for striking anyway... i get the impression that the developers are working hard to make the default controls the most effective and responsive layout to use.

PS: What are Ring restarts?

Ring restarts are when the referee seperates the fighters and moves them into the centre of the ring, then restarts them in the same position on the ground that they were in when they were being seperated.

The most common reason for this happening is when one or more of the fighters are in danger of going over or through the ropes to the outside of the ring, or when fighting to close to the ropes.

Yeh bro, there's a mag coming out on the 12th, XBOX 360 gamer... however it's the same guy writing both articles, so to be honest i just expect the same news, maybe worded differently.. but i'll still check it out none the less.

Awesome news! I am stoked to read this. If anyone can get some clear screens or scans of the mag then post them in here and the Media Hub thread.

I thought ring restarts were where the put you in the middle of the ring in the exact same position you were in. Usually used when fighters are being pushed out of the ring when on the ground.

The only problem I can see with it is it would suck for the fighter on top. Getting them in the corner is a huge advantage in the ring. It makes it harder for the person on the bottom to move. What is to stop the person on the bottom from trying to throw themselves out of the ring? Or what would be the limit that would start a ring restart? You could be fighting someone on the ground near the ropes and then all of a sudden you are being brought to the center of the ring.
