I don't expect them to hang out here all day answering questions. But there is even a tech support forum here and nobody answers questions there. Wouldn't it behoove them to at least have someone monitor that forum and help the people buying their game? I DO HOWEVER expect EA DEVS to fulfill their promises to us like the goalie blog we never got. Um, also why not give us patch info and whatnot? They keep us completely shadowed on this info even when the patch is already done.

The revelation of the EA developers purposely ignoring EA's own forum in favor of Operation Sports will just ignite more animosity toward them.
They need to develop thicker skin and take the criticism.
If they cannot GTFO the net.
Why not just send a PM to help the person with the problem? If this was Valve or Blizzard none of this would be happening.
Plain and simple they can't take the abuse. The very same abuse that stems from them ignoring this board in the first place. If they could just endure the heat for a short time and stick around, people would warm up and be nicer to them but the fact is they come here very seldom and it makes people angry because if you call EA tech support you are directed here. You post here, yet get no answers, and then you get mad because you feel the game you bought is broken and they don't care since they have your money. What they don't realize is that the hate on them is brought simply BECAUSE they ignore us on here. Start interacting regularly and people will show you respect. Basically, you'll get respect when you earn it back because as it stands they're showing us no respect by ignoring their customers....the ones who keep them in jobs.
Hold on, they have absolutey no obligation to come on here and give us updates. Their job is to make video games, it's EA's problem for not hiring somebody specifically to communicate between the forums and the devs on a regular basis. Any dev that communicates is doing it in their own free time, and it makes perfect sense to not want to be treated like a piece of garbage in your free time. The fact that you think they should just suck it up instead of people around here acting with some amount of civility towards them is absolutely ridiculous. They realize that hate is brought on them because they aren't doing something they don't have to do, and they know that it's stupid. So direct your focus at EA not having the right job created by now, and give the guys working hard every year a break.
Nowhere did i say EA DEVS. I'm speaking more in a manner of yes they need someone on here specifically. You're right, it's not the devs job but when Ea support sends you here for help there darn well should be some help to be had here. As it is now we have some mods that can only answer with what very little info they're given, and for mods some of them are downright rude and have no right being in a position of power on here.
Fair enough, the guy you quoted did though so thas for him, but the rest of it still applies. And seriously dude, you say that they should suck it up, but a mod being "downright rude" is a problem? When did you lose your balls and move to little house on the prairie?

If EA doesnt compel them to address issues then why does EA Customer Service direct me here for questions?
its disengenous to ask me to come here asking for answers to simple questions regarding broken game modes (not the roster rants so typically found) and then see that the last post in the announcements thread is from weeks ago.
I forwarded all of the answers I found on Operation Sports over to EA customer service and kindly ask that direct folks there for answers.
All in all I think this is a good game that was released without the appropriate quality controls in place and should have been recalled from the market and released when the multiple issues were corrected.

It would be funny if some the posters making the complaints are disgruntled EA developers not happy with the direction the game is taking.

Your observation is a 100% correct. EA had a chance to throw dirt on the competion and blew it! Its not just with hockey though, go to NBA and Madden posts. Madden and NHL both have regressed. Stopped buying Madden last year because it had grown stale. Same game with roster updates year after year. NHL fans should be concerned, as we are the smallest market of all the sport franchises.

In my oppinion they forgot to implement 1 or 2 extra parameters, or an enging that on demand control stats, gameplays, and COMPARES the parameters of the AI with actual results during the game and acting or not acting, by pushing the CPU A BIT and in an intelligent way, and not in a way making them move twice as quick, as the user´s player are.
The engine should compare things, like, shots, goals, passes, dekes and their successes, checks, percentage of good chances, and then act, or not.
If a human player is really very good (valuable chance), no matter how many games in a row, there is no reason to let the CPU´s players again and again suddenly play/move twice as fast, move complete unreal and unfair, compared to the human´s CPU players.
Like it (AI) is, it is not a good way, of making a game exciting.
After some games it mainly produces rage, hate, disappointed fans of EA´s NHL.
I don´t understand, why they don´t do anything on that part of the game, the AI.
I realy don´t understand it.
Every DEV should be forced to play their game three times a day.
I am sure, that they very fast would change fundamental things in the AI´s behaviour.
I am absolute sure!
