Yeah I'd imagine 2011 will be soley focused on MMA(at least I really hope so). I mean sh!*, Overeem just became the best kick boxer in the world, yet most of his wins in MMA have come by submission. That statement alone is pretty crazy to think about, even crazier when you really have to wonder whether or not Overeem struggled to make weight at LHW on a regular basis, which by his size, I'd have to imagine he did.
Then, to throw some icing on the cake, his knees, clinch, gullotine, size, strength(I don't care IF Rogers in sub-par, he's huge and Reem tossed him like he was his daddy) speed and massive, MASSIVE KO power...
Blindingly bright future. Overeem has stated he end all goal was going to the UFC, the only problem was the UFC not allowing him to compete in K-1 and for that reason, man do I hope, whish and pray that since he has one the tournament, he doesn't feel the need to compete again.
Because if Fedor and Werdum are just going to dance around each other in SF, I say screw it. Overeem v.s. Cain/Carwin/JDS/Lesnar.... I'll take those any day.
That what makes me feel bad for Overeem, he's got the SF HW title and the two top contenders have shown little interest in fighting him... but... he's got the belt. Hmmm. And as much as I love Fedor, the dudes been an inspiration to me for a long time, pushing for olympic style drug testing rather than saying to M1"* it, I'll kick his * whether he IS or ISNT on roids." would go against the grain of the type of warrior mentality I always admired with Fedor above many other fighters in the buisness.

He did win it. This past K-1 event was for the WGP title.
Good. Maybe now he can stop F-ing around and see how far he can take his MMA career. He needs to fight more than he does (MMA wise).
He'll be fighting at the Dynamite show on NYE, it's supposed to be an MMA fight. I'm pretty sure 2011 will be an MMA year for him.
rumor has reem & duffee fighting on that show...
im on board.

Strikeforce isnt letting arlovski or rogers fight outside SF since they have fights coming up and do not want to risk injury. I hear maybe seemy schilts vs reem at dream

Schilt and Lashley have been ruled out. Todd Duffee made a post the other night on his Facebook saying that he could be the opponent. Josh Gross has also confirmed that the fight had indeed been "discussed". I think whatever opponent they come up with it'll be exciting regardless. At this point I could watch the Reem fight a ham sandwhich and be entertained.

I want to see Reem fight too but i would hate to see Duffee have his career/life damaged anymore than it already has.

do not use stats to defend your argument about individual players football is a team sport where every players stats are dependent on his teamates. |

If Arlovski fights Overeem, it better be Valentine -NOT Alistair. Werdum earned his shot at the belt, SF needs to make it happen.
I would accept Barnett (because raHlie says it might involve a belt -that isn't already Overeems); but I'd rather see Werdum fight him instead.
Since winning that SF belt, Overeem has fought FIVE opponents out of 8 that were either on losing streaks, or coming directly off of a loss -including his title defense against Rogers.
I'm sorry, but thats a trend that needs to come to an end. Overeem is too good to be thrown BS like that.
