Speaker count is for how many speakers you have.
example, I have 5.1 surround and after I changed the speaker count to 6 I was amazed at the difference. Much better....

It can technically be , not a cheat, but a leg up. Earlier games really allowed you alot of leeway in adjusting game settings.
Take a game like Armed Assault. Turning the resolution and AA high, but turning everything else to the lowest possible settings would give you a significant advantage over someone playing with everything maxed out.
i.e. removing grass, shadows, particle effects, sun glare, postprocessing etc etc. All of these deal with altering vision in some manner. Ive known plenty of players as long as ive played fps games online, that would knock down effects, and detail to nothing to gain an advantage over those that use all the effects.
I hate that a game would punish you for using all the graphical effects built into it. That's why I was happy that you can't get rid of the shadows in BC2, unlike in some games where you can basically turn off all lighting effects, thereby making camouflage useless and giving you a massive advantage. I still don't think camo in BC2 works as well as it did in BC1, though.

Usually i wouldn't have a problem with this, but because it's been left out of the game menu, i thought i would just double check.
Sorry I missed the first few times. Changing your settings.ini file won't get you kick by PB. The people who say that are liars
All of the settings can be changed.
Bloom makes the game look better with very little drop on performance, so keep it set to true.
Turn HSAO off unless you have a beast of a pc.
MSAA, depends on the performance you get, set it to 2x and see if you get a bad drop in performance.
Aniso - just play around with this like MSAA. Makes the game's textures look better at a distance.
Render Ahead is just a form of frame buffering. Setting it to 0 can improve framerate for some people. I keep mine at the default (2 i think?)
And FOV, I set mine to 65 and looks good, so thats what i recomend.
And while youre in the settings.ini file set the audio quality to High (unless this effects your performance, then set it back to whatever it was before.)
