Almost impossible to beat Manny

Was this oppenent named btg74? Because if so that's me. I remember fighting someone as Cotto and getting the flash knockdown in the 3rd and being given the 2nd round for the win. And me and my roommate (who watched the whole fight) agreed that was ridiculous scoring.

Maybe it was you I have no problem with getting beat fair but randomly???? oh no sir, my opponent was very intelligent and didn't waste punches but I at least deserved a draw.

Yeah I just looked at my recent players list and I definitely fought you. So I believe its safe to assume that is the fight you're talking about. You definitely won the first 2 rounds, a perfect example of why it makes no sense for EA to exclude draws online.

Manny is short, stay away from his power and speed and pick him apart. It's not hard at all, I've seen all the best players using Cotto including myself. Chin isn't a factor if you don't get hit.

The one thing Im noticing is if you run into a guy who just wants to throw like 900 punches with manny, most likely he's gonna take you out. Even if you don't get dropped and feel like you won, they'll give him the fight due to activity even if you have good stats. I lost a fight when I landed like 72% of my punches to there 50, he just threw like 8 million punches. Then with manny, the 1 punch KD is always lingering. Its doable, but theres alot more obstacles, realistic and unrealistic when fighting with cotto.

I've beaten Manny, even brawling (just use well time shots). As long as Cotto's glass jaw doesn't break randomly, I can usually do alright.

But yeah, in general can't stand toe to toe to long, and don't be overly aggressive. We all saw how that ended in real life. This doesn't mean run just keep distance.

I hope cottos jaw isn't really this bad against everyone when it comes out. I know manny's got high power and all, but cotto can scrap a lil bit, specially a prime cotto.

I hate the guys who just throw bombs with manny all day, which doesn't seem to tire him out and breaks cottos jaw.

Also, what do you expect, manny has the advantage coming in.

I think the judges are a bit screwed up, but Manny isn't too OP online.

Last night I had a very close fight where I was Cotto facing Manny. He knocked me down in each round mostly by just throwing a huge volume of punches, but wore him out and landed the power shots when he left himself open. In the last 1:30 I knocked him down three times, until he didn't get up.

Manny is definitely beatable if you pace and defend yourself.
