Dude take your "Holier than ghandi" crap somewhere else. I think Skate is going to give us the realism of being on a board. THPG is all about fantasy. Noone can do a kickflip into a backflip down 12 story buildings. If the guys are saying Skate wins realism, I with them. If they are talking about it winning period, I say stop it because we don't know if Skate will blow like most of EA's products.

Well, that's a little hasty, isn't it?

Your job as a consumer is to inform the provider of your products with your spending power as well as your verbal or written feedback. You mentioned at the end of your post that you think every EA product blows, and I say that it's just as much the consumer's fault that the products (in your opinion) blow as it is EA's. After all, if twenty million people didn't buy Madden every single year, EA Tiburon wouldn't see it as an easy way to earn money. They'd be forced, then, to create a quality product any time they brought it out. Ignorant, blind criticism like that which is displayed here does absolutely nothing for anyone, however. Saying, "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground sucks!" is a very worthless statement here on June 18th, 2007 because Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is months away and realistically might not suck. I don't disagree with your very factual statement that Skate will provide realism while Tony Hawk's Proving Ground will provide fantasy.

All I am saying is, have impressions and opinions, but don't pass your ultimate judgment on something you haven't played. How fair would it be if I, as a reviewer, scored a game based on playing a ten-minute demo at the local GameStop? How about if I hadn't played the game at all? I'd unfairly disservice the publisher and developer as well as fellow consumers based on false or truly unknown information.

Why are you telling me? I always try to give views that would make a game better but Skate fans and Madden fans are worlds apart.

Well im buying Both games, just because im down for playing all games as long as it has atleast some relevance to skating. But I still hate the animations from Project 8- a game in which i also thought the story mode was really bad. I like the idea of picking the kind of skater you are, but they tried to steal the camera, and for the last few games they should have stuck with the original T.H.U.G. concept. Except T.H.U.G. And Wasteland, all of the tony hawk game's storys have sucked.

I hated wasteland, I loved THPS 1, 2, 3, and THUG. THUG actually had a storyline that I enjoyed, because you got to know the characters and you got sponsored and stuff. You know that you hated Eric Sparrow as soon and he screwed you over at the Tampa Am.

I really don't see the problem with Project 8, I thought it was as entertaining as all of the ones before it.

your right, the free skate was entertaining because you could skate realisticlly, but the second you did a goal, it was ok, grind this power line up to the water tower and acid drop into your back yard, which was anoying and dumb, so the actual skating around wasnt bad, but the story mode is what craped that game up, but this is just my opinion.

I thought free skate was pretty fun, like the guy above me. Career mode was a joke (in my opinion), and I only played it so I could unlike all the areas. All in all it was a pretty fun game, but they had a lot of glitches in it.

Yeah career mode wasn't my favorite, but there was free skate. If you ask me I think the creators at Activision are trying very hard to knock "skate" out of the competition. But it's not happening. It's like Project 8, just a couple new things here and there. Even though I'm getting "skate" and prefer it way more than THPG, I'd like to see how this games going to be, and maybe even buy it. But who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.
