online is not realistic. we are seeing unrealistic numbers of power punches and jab throw per round and per fight
With one punch knock out the high volume power punches is really bad
and jab, jab, jab even thru the block until you are stun is ridiculous.
EA please release a tuner patch to fix this ASAP
We hope you had a good game!

I think the game is great and the campaign is exactly that extra touch that Fight Night needed. I haven't played online yet but i will be back to share my thoughts..

Auto-block and Random one punch knockouts ruined the entire game period.
Auto-block takes out the strategy that previous installments had and the one punch KO's would be fine if they required any criteria. Without criteria determining a one punch knockout then they are simply random. I've landed some where my punch does'nt even land flush and I get a 1PKO. They just graze my opponent and are most of the time off target. I hit my opponent in the back of the head and BAM! 1PKO.
In real life a guy gets one punch KO'ed if he gets hit with a really hard counter or power shot that he did'nt see coming that landed flush. Or they move into a really hard power punch that also lands flush and its lights out.
Auto-block is not good because some punches land and some don't. Its more or less like a complete guessing game. You never really know if you're going to land a shot or if one will get through the guard. Give people the ability to manually block and defend themselves back. ASAP.
These things are what ruins the game along with the buying of XP online to MAX out CABs. This should at least have a cap on it and not allow someone to completely max out but to get a few stats boosted to be rated overall 83 or 84 and then have to work to gain the rest to max out their fighter.

I was enjoying the champion mode and thought it was quite impresive. Then I found out it was broken, ea knows nothing about story mode or fun pacing. So i get to the isac frost fight or what ever. Now i consider myself skilled I played every fight night since knockout kings on ps1. But EA made a incredibly frustrating fight aka not challenging just cheap as hell fight. Guy can knock u out any time with any punch even on the easiest mode, WTF!. This 20 yrs ago? Feel like im playing mike tysons punch out, cheap * fight. If that wasnt bad enough extremly boring n lame fight mechanics for this fight. Stay away 2 whole rounds, BORING THATS NOT BOXING. THIS AINT ROCKY WHY IS MAIN GUY SUCH A WHIP? JAIL TAKE HIS MANHOOD? Then 75 body shots in 3 rounds lmao. This a boss fight or boxing drills? Yea n fail just to do it all over from checkpoint is trash. Didnt see what was after that i quit after guy knocked me out 10 times with every lucky punch. Cool made it all the way to the end on a harder dificulty put it all the way on easiest mode n still cant beat this fight. I will never play champion mode again getting knocked constantly on the easiest mode is just cheap as hell n frusterating. Thought when i made it to this guy it would be an epic fight. TOO BAD EA MADE IT BOXING DRILLS AGAINST A GUY WHO WILL KNOCK U OUT WITH ANY PUNCH. U didnt play test this? If u did ea ur bad. Great boxing game horrible game mode. Thought easy mode was suppose to be easy, u know for casual players. Im good still cant beat it. WAY TO FAIL HARD IN UR NEW MODE EA ILL NEVER PLAY IT OR RECOMMEND IT.

You don't have to purchase the Champion Mode fighters at all. You can play thru Champion Mode once and unlock each fighter. If you don't want to do it the long way than its your option to purchase the full pack for $6.99USD or .99 each

hi all. we expect to play the game on 4 of march.i m from greece.aboyt demo the game is very nice although some members are right about the one punch knock out!too often.! i expected great times on line but from what i heard abput xp i got deissapointed.EA is wrong .instead of taking money they ll lose.people shall go to copies instead of paying again the allready expensive game.just make the game as real as possible.
yes to one punch knock out, but under certains conditions
stop cheaters of ruin game depending on false stamina n unreal power punches
just add a button of yes or no to one punch lucky shot out
ask pro boxers opinion better ,than us of fixing the reality of game
make divisions of pay or not pay for xp
thanks for your time

Ea this is the best sports sim game to date on the next gen console. Please; and im sorry to the people who oppose this game; dont make any parrying system or bring anything back from the previous fight nights. YOU GUY GOT IT RIGHT WITH THIS BLOCKING SYSTEM AND YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY HAVE A STRATEGY AND BOX!
I am most certain that the people who dont like the game Frankly arent good at it. THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT GAME!

My impressions about the game, though, are really, really good. I am pleased with this game. I have seen so much that has impressed me that I wil likely forget all that I do like. However, I will start of what the negatives, first the main reason why I'm writing this now.
1. The game(Champion Mode) has crashed three times in the 5-6 hours of play I have. Typically I'm not one to complain about things like this, if they're rare and possibly avoidable. These were neither. One one occasion it was a freeze. The first and last time(a few minutes ago) they completely shut down my PS3. That has never happened to me.
2. I'm sure you know already, but the Create-A-Boxer feature is flawed. The Game Face feature does not accurately copy faces. When times it gets the features right, the pigmentation is absolutely horrible causing darker skinned fighters to have lightened faces. Beyond facial problems, other features that were founded in FN4 are not in FNC, in regard of trunks, body types among other aspects.
3. This is minor in comparison, but I did experience lag online.
But beyond those issues, Fight Night Champion is the best boxing game to date. I have yet to experience all aspects of the game, but the aspects I have experienced have all be engrossing, deep and rather well done. Most notably is Champion Mode. Coming in, to the development, I was not a fan of this mode at all. I saw it as arbitrary, cost irrelevant and a really unecessary addition to a sports game. I've completely turned the corner, mostly due to the fact of how well done Champion Mode is. Whoever EA got to create the mode truly deserves an award. Though it is kind of clichish, the story is interesting and made all the more interesting by the strong performances and authenticity of the characters. It is also helped by the various situations the player is put in to play in actual gameplay relevant(and boxing relevant) situations. Champion Mode alone would be sufficient as a main part for a lot of games, but Champion Mode isn't even the main part. Most people will be playing online or Legacy Mode for the most part.
The gameplay and presentation itself is the closest representation of boxing there has ever been done. You finally got the analog punch issue resolved. I use the FSP and not even have a thought of the facebuttons.(until I play some of those training games that are still really hard). There is so much about real boxing that I find accurately done in this game that make me enjoy being a fan. I can get a ringside commentator's take on a fight mind way through, like I see in real boxing. I can finally deliver a blitz of punches to a helpless opponent and the ref can stop the fight, like I see in real boxing. I can deliver a blitz of punches to a hurt opponent only to have them survive and find me properly winded and exposed, like I see in real boxing. I can be delivering a blitz of punches, thinking I'm on top and out of nowhere take a one hitter quitter, like I see in real boxing. Having Brian Kenney and Friday Night Fights, using the ESPN license unlike ANY other video game has done, like I see in real boxing. There has been so much added to make this more like actual boxing that makes me thankful.
Once, I play Legacy Mode, I will speak about that but if it's anything like what I enjoyed from FN4, I will be happy.
This is a GREAT GAME. For gamers and boxing fans.

I play mostly offline, so I can't say anything about the OWC.
But when it comes to single-player, I really enjoy the fact that I can open my offense with jabs and straights without the fear of AI perfect blocking and countering me, which was the case with FNR4. Also, in the previous installments (I own all but Round 2) I've been a power puncher, brawler and inside fighter.
Now I find it more fun to be on the outside and leap into action whenever AI makes mistakes.
I haven't bought the retail version yet and haven't posted to these forums before, so these opinions are based on the demo.

Online, the default round length should be 3 minutes not 2. 3 minute rounds are far more common that 2 minutes rounds, so that's how it should be.
OR If not change the default round time, at least make it where we can create a session, without having to first complete a long search that often turns up no results. Let us be able to cancel the search at any time, and create a session.

Does anyone else has a hard time defeating Icaas Frost in Championship mode?
The first 2 rounds are a piece of cake, but then you have to throw power punches to the body, but it sees like it doesn't register them? I can dodge one of his punches and then counter with a haymaker to the body and it lands cleanly, but it seems like not all of them register. And since he has the power to knock you out with a single punch, I always get KO'd when I'm around landing 50 of them.
Any suggestions?
