I appreciate the sentiment expressed in the original post. It can be a bit frustrating after putting in a good couple hours of work to post a thread hoping for feedback and only to receive 6 or 7 responses, on a good day. Thanks.

Yeah, you're so right. I'm a little worried about not getting comments on my own first solo vid, since I'm not well known around here. Cause it takes quite a while to put a video together, and everyone that does deserves some encouraging comments. I guess in the past weeks (since the game's been out) there's just been SO many vids, and I think a lot of people tend to just watch those made by more well known people.

yeah its tough when there are sooo many vids, it is easier to just watch the guys you've known for like a year and know how they skate than take a chance with some new guy where it can be hit or miss...

But I do try

Well, about the chili, I have to say there have been a lot of jerks the last few months. Metaphoricly (is that a word?) speaking and at the same time not.

And yeah, Magic, I've been thinking about the same thing and tried to comment as much as possible. Sometimes it aint that easy when you see something you don't like at all and then say so without being rude.

Also I've experienced it myself over here, not getting feedback that is. But that is just something you will have to suck up and get over. I'm a member of multiple art communitys (deviantART, flickr etc.) and the same thing frequently happens there.
If you're not mindblowingly talented or overly active in forums you just won't get much feedback.

So my two cents for those who feel they not get the attention they feel they deserve; be active. Be mature. Be friendly. It will come, trust me...

Peace

download a legal trial, when you finally want to pay for it after the 30 some odd days, fork over the cash

I have to agree. The more active and friendly you are, and the more comments you make on other videos, the more people will recognize you and be willing to take the time to comment on your own vids. It also helps if your own stuff is white hot lava....

Thanks to Magic for posting this thread. Not like this place has to be a hugs and unicorns and fairies kinda place where there's no criticism or trash talking -all that stuff has it's place. But I'd like to see more people giving constructive feedback and encouragement.

I'm going to make a point of giving thorough feedback on at least three video threads tonight!! I suggest everyone else follow suit!!

basically if you arent innout, or you dont post unrealistic clips, you aint gunna get commented. (no offense innout)

i reckon we should have a separate forum section either within the show off section, or just below it for full parts. im sick of my videos getting buried under people posting single line clips over and over and over again. would the powers that be please pass this on?

that would be a great idea, seperate the show off into 3 sub catagories: real life/skate reel/ and full parts...

That is a very good idea... and to push things further; have one for arcade vids and one for realistic.
