"RPG, or rocket-propelled grenade, is a loose term describing hand-held, shoulder-launched anti-tank weapons capable of firing an unguided rocket equipped with an explosive warhead." What does the second last word say buddy? shame?haha

If you bothered to read the original post, what I said was that the main damage from an RPG is done by the jet of metal not the explosion, and dont quote wikipedia or wherever else you got that description without reading and understanding the whole article. You ultra tard

hahaha, i know what the RPG does. its been in almost every game and it EXPLODES!!!! the main damage is done to tanks armor and stuff by the actual impact, yes. But, i was taking about splash damage the whole time. the explosion is big enough to kill surounding enemies, yes? am i right? dont bother answering cause i KNOW i am.

that made no sence. look, the RPG explodes, ur right about the fact it does more damage with the impact (to tanks) but im wright about the fact there should be more splash damage ( the only thing i was complaining about and we got in this big argument. the WOHLE porpuse of this thread was about killing people with splash damage.

At what point did I say that the explosion wouldn't hurt anyone stood close enough, I merely pointed they way that an RPG works. Also the point of having a shaped charge is to focus the power of the blast (the Munroe effect, look it up). And not just to do splash damage.

They have explosives the way they are for game balance, and I personally think it was a VERY good idea. They want certain weapons to be primarily useful versus vehicles and only marginally useful versus infantry and it works great. You'll notice that grenades still do a ton of splash damage, just not the long range explosives. They didn;t want a rocket guy blowing out a wall of a house and killing all 3 people inside in doing so. With the games destructive environments, making the long range explosives useful vs infantry would just kill the game in my opinion.

LOL WOW that was a good one. For those whining about wanting to show their lack of skills go rocket snipe someone on one of those kiddie games out there. For those wanting to use man to man skills stay here where they don't allow the "I want to use what would be a complete overpowered weapon against infantry so I don't challenge myself" to have their Haloish fun.

I agree that the explosive ordinance should follow more real world rules than the do. Hitting someone with a Grenade Luancher in the body would kill them (if not, incapacitate them, which in a game is a s good as death), hitting near somone (up to 5 away) would most certainly incapacitate. The same with the rockets, OK that sn't what they are designed for, but the truth is it would work. Besides, the reloads for explosives are so long that the 'balance' issue isn't really a factor.
