This is to inform you:

EA has changed its policy and no longer allow players under the age of 13 to register on its site.

The minimum age requirements for registration to which EA has chosen to adhere to are based on a myriad of business and regulatory considerations. Unfortunately, the parental controls provided by game consoles and PC equipment are not sufficient for EA to overcome them.

Thanks you for the update, Ashi. Unfortunately, that creates a problem for parents, like myself, with a child under 13 who was allowed to purchase the game with their XBox Live points, only to discover that they are not allowed to play the game because they cannot register on the EA site due to their age. Will there by any way to refund the points to those children who purchased a game they are unable to play?

In the future, will EA restrict users who do not meet this age requirement from purchasing the game?

Im pretty upset that you know have to be 13 or over to play it cos they lost alot of players of ea games including me but i hope that they come to their senses and allow everyone to play again, shouldnt it be the kid's parents job 2 decide if you play or not,? whats the use of buy a $20 game and having xbox live when you cant play the game online? im trying to play battlefield 2: modern combat and i keep getting the same message: Sorry! This registration is not for your age group. I dont know why there isnt an option that lets you sign into your existing account and why you have to be 13 to play, its a free country! and not just this game, its rated E agmes to!

EA is oversteppign the boundaries between parent and company. but if anyone knows anyway for me to play the game without registering AGAIN and playing despite age. im not asking to hack the system, but just to enjoy the game fully and get on with my life! please, anyone with the answer, please tell me! im dying to play this game, to join a clan, to play allt hose maps, to drive allt hose vehucles, to act as a team, to live life! a little over the top, but i hope you get the idea.....please help me im at wits end

PS i tried LOTR demo before and after getting game.

left4food,

There are currently no plans to change the age restriction policy.

What game you are truying to play and what age ratess it has? Example: If the game has rating 16+ and your rofile has an age under 16 you are not allowed to play it online.

you can try to call xbox support an ask if they can change your age.

I'm having the same problem with the BFBC2 demo. I've contacted Microsoft and EA a few times. Microsoft said they have no clue what it could be (it's what you can expect from technical support from Microsoft). EA said that it's probably the fact that I downloaded the demo from another account, that's what they told me> Hope this helps. (Highly doubt it)

I have had the same problems, not able to link the xbox live gametag with the EA account, i finally managed to do it by downloading the Army for Two: 40 Days demo and register thro there and bingo, it linked my xbox live tag with EA. i can now load BF1943 but am still having the "game seems not available" problem to mess with

I'm getting the same message on Bad Company 2. Can someone just tell me what to do. This is really frustrating. I'm from Australia, i'm 25 years old and have no restrictions and have Xbox Live gold. Seriously what do I need to do?

Problem fix: Download the Lord of Rings conquest demo- then it will sync up your EA login email account with your Xbox login acct. Then your Battlefield 2 game will then work. So it was a problem with EA Battlefield game. And whoever thought of that is cool. Thank you.
