4 Gb ddr2
Saphire 5770 10242MB gddr5
Win 7 64bit
80GB free space on my hard drive.

CPU usage hit 60-70 degrees when i am playing NFS Hot Pursuit.
CPU gets so hard that it reboot on my first try. It is now more stable after i blow the 120MM fan towards my CPU.
why is this so ?
should i replace my heatsink or upgrade my CPU ?

Since that CPU is quite slow, i would go for a new cpu.

For all those with problems running the game! If you are not prepared to but some effort in to upgrading your system, buy a console.

ngggg.... My PC passed the minimum reqs, even the recommended one.. Here I'll explain my specs and problem:

SPECIFICATION:
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 (@ 2.40 GHz, 2 CPUs)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte G31M-S2C
- Chipset: P35/G33/G31
- Memory: 3GB of RAM
- HDD: 246 GB (Drive C, my NFS Installation Partition)
- VGA: ATI Radeon X1550 Series (512 Mbytes)
- OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, build 7600

PROBLEM:
When I started the NFS (Using the shortcut on the Desktop), The NFSHPN logo appeared. Then, when I was asked about the settings, I set into this:
- Graphic: Radeon X1550 Series
- Resolution: 800 x 600
- Speaker: Stereo
- Webcam ManyCam Video Source (a virtual webcam, I don't have any webcam)
After that, I pressed the Save & Exit button. Then, the screen was darken and the resolution was changed into a smaller size. Suddenly, it showed me the desktop and it says that the NFS has a problem. I tried to run with Administrator's Privilege, the problem remained the same. What should I do?

Thanks before..

My system is under the minimum requirement. Pentium D P945(3.45ghz), 3gigs ram and Nvidia 9500GT with 512mb ram. I'm running this game at 1680*1050 with all the graphic option to max except shadow off.

I know my PC is a piece of junk compare to today's standard and the game played like a slideshow without the patch but after the 2nd patch was applied it's running at playable state. I only get slow down when the roadblock stop too many cars or when there are too much smoke/dust on the screen otherwise its pretty enjoyable.

I've posted this in two other places, but can I run this on a ATI Radeon x800 Pro (256 mb, DirectX shader model 2.0)

"PC Patch #3
The following issues have been fixed in this patch:

- Fixes account for almost half (47%) of the crashes caused by the top 10 problems reported by our users. Specifically, crashes and rendering problems on ATI Radeon X1300, X1550 and X1800 graphics cards have been addressed. Fixes are also included for Intel embedded graphics chipsets such as the Intel GMA 500, Intel GMA 600 and Intel GMA X3000 which are running older graphics drivers.

- Another crash bug has also been resolved when running on graphics hardware that does not support DirectX Shader Model 3.0. "

I just bought NFS: Hot Pursuit, but it doesn't run on my computer.
My PC specification:

-Windows 7 Home premium
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 540 3.07GHz
-4GB RAM
-240GB harddisk
-Graph. card: ATI Radeon X1600 256 MB

Is there any way to make it possible to play the game with this graphic card? http://www.amd.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/ati-mobility-hd-x1000/x1600/Pages/x1600.aspx says that X1600 has full Shader Model 3.0 support. So it has min. 256 MB and has Shader Model 3.0. But it's not supported.
