You know mug shots are for people who have been arrested right? Only Patrick Kane, Dany Heatley, and Joe Thornton should have their pics in the game if that's what you meant. Haha!
lmao, how clever of you!
also it seemed like some of them were different, but i think havlat was still wearing a red jersey, and getzlaf's still looked the same as 09, and lecavalier's still looked the same.

Some of the ratings are pure crap, simply terrible. I think EA should make the ratings a bit higher, and yea i'm serious.
Second, Ovie has 92, seems fair to me. There is no way in hell he will be more overall rating than Crosby/Malkin, he's a scrorer NOTHING ELSE. He's not even close to Crosby at beeing an overall player, so don't even try.

While I'm a Pens fan, I can say that Ovechkin is more than just a scorer. True he's not a shutdown guy, but the way you described him makes him sound like Pavel Bure. Ovechkin has a physically element to his game as well. He's kind of like if you took Peter Forsberg's physical game and threw in Bure's scoring touch, you'd have Ovechkin. So he's more than just a scorer...

It seems alot of people are basing these ratings purely on offensive talent.
I'll compare Pronger and Green.
I don't think anyone will argue that Pronger is skilled offensively, but he is one of the best defenders in the league (because he is a dirty piece of garbage who uses his stick like an axe. I hate him)
So Pronger scores high in the offensive and defensive ratings, thus 92 overall.
Green is probably the number 1 offensive d-man in the league, I don't get to see him much because I live on the west coast, but I never ever hear anything about his defensive skills and since this game is made in Vancouver, BC... they probably dont either. So his defensive ratings are low, offensive ratings high. 84 overall. Or whatever it was.
And Iginla absolutely deserves his 93 rating. He sets up, scores, hits, fights and is extremely good at all of them. He is the most complete player in the league.

Why is Getzlaf not amoung the elite in the player ratings? He's arguably the best centerman in the Western conference. 88?
That's really the only one on the ducks that has stumped me now that I've seen that a lot of really good players on other teams got rather low ratings, but it's not even arguable that Getzlaf is an elite player in this league and should have an overall rating up there with Datsyuk, Lecavalier, Thornton etc..
I don't know if anyone was watching last season but Getzlaf completely shutdown Joe Thornton in the playoffs and in addition, outscored him as well. Why is Thornton 90 and Getzlaf 88? Seems to me that it should be at least the other way around...
What do you guys think? Am I just a biased duck fan or does the evidence speak for itself?
Also, Chris Pronger is better than Scott Niedermayer by a margin of 5 overall? lol last I checked, Scott was better at EVERY aspect in hockey (other than slapshot power) than Chris...
I'm really big on ratings, so sorry if this comes out as a complaint. Just trying to do a little constructive critisism and maybe get some objective points of view

That's a very arguable statement. Getzlaf does all those things as well. Also, last time I remember Iggy getting into a fight with a Duck (beauchemin) he got his face pounded so saying that Iggy is extremely good at fighting is definately a stretch.
Not to say Iggy doesn't deserve his 93 rating as he is undoubtingly talented, but I make the argument that Getzlaf should be around that ballpark of rating rather than a miniscule 88 overall rating :[

were r the goalie ratings u said u'd have up?? i think Savard should be higher, he should be an 88. Thomas better be a 90, he won the Vezina which is awarded to the best goalie that season. He shud at least be a 90. Oh yeah, Why is Shawn Thornton not a 99 in everything?? i mean come on he is the best player in the game.
(JK bout the Shawn Thornton thing)

Pronger and Chara being better than Lidstrom makes me a little angry. I could understand Chara cuz he won the Norris last year, but Lidstrom should be better than Pronger.
And Danny Briere being better than Carter, Richards and Gagne is a joke. He hasn't put up very good numbers since he's been with the Flyers (especially last year) and he's injured all the time. I thought he should be in the mid to high 70's. And Richards got jipped. He should be 88 at the minimum, maybe 90.

the sedins where slow enough last year now they bumped them down to 79 b.s. How does EA conjure up the idea the sedins got slower when in reality they got faster.

bump, so there isn't going to be 30 threads (one for each team) asking for each team's ratings, i know this isn't the entire team, but should be enough for the time being right?

Savard should not be a 90 not a chance is he better than Rick Nash or on par with Joe Thorton or Kovalchuk.
LMFAO!!! Oh I'm sorry Mr.EA-RATINGSGOD, lemme clue you in. Savard easily one of the most underrated players in the NHL, who has put up: 97, 96, 78 and 88 points in the past 4 seasons. Yeah, no way he should be at least a 90, no way he's on par with Nash?! Thornton?! Kovalchuk?! Maybe you should know WTF you are talking about before opening your mouth about nonsense since lets see, last season Savard had more points than Thornton, Nash and was only 3 behind Kovalchuk. Can't wait for Savvy to do the same this year, to show you up and everyone else who constantly underrates him. I mean really Team Canada didn't even invite him, how stupid!
EDIT* Kdawg, you're gonna hate me! I went to the Bruins Training Camp yesterday and I got Shawn Thronton's autograph! Along with Matt Hunwick and Tuuka Rask ...tried to get Thomas and Ryder's but too many people were blocking me.
