that happened to me the night the patch was released, but since the xbox live update, it hasnt happened. in fact, i havent had any freezes since the system update.

I've also noticed my player gets the puck a lot easier since the update, and by that I mean he has the magnetic stick that used the rule the older-gen games. So I'll be paying attention to a winger and the puck will appear on my stick, I won't notice it, and the CPU will just lift my stick and take it.

im not sure if i even dowloaded a patch, i know ive downloaded the new rosters...im having a problem unlocking the spider helmet i need for the 3 boosts slots, i have all the necessary stats, but it still wont unlock....on top of that do i dont see a normal helmet with 3 boosts slots, is it because i havent unlocked one with 3 boost slots? and when it says average 2 points per game, can it be between AHL and NHL or does it have to be all in one league?

thanks for the feedback, one more....does difficulty matter?

I have a few problems since downloading the patch. I play primarily BeAGM mode.

1. I hardly ever see any penalties in my games. I never get any nor does the opposing team. I have even tried deliberately tripping, slashing and interfering with the other players and no penalties have been called.

2. I find it much more difficult to score. I have even put the shot aim all the way up and the goalie reaction speed all the way down and can only manage 2-1 games.

I have cleared my Xbox cache to remove the update but I cannot sign into Xbox live without updating my game. Is there any way to decline the update?

EA!! Can you please, please, please at least give us the option to uninstall this patch and not HAVE to use it? I actually enjoyed the game befor this stupid patch messed it up. All I ask is to have the ability to get something for the money I payed for this game.

I'll agree the passing needs to be faster, even with the recent patch it's still on the sluggish side.

Well, I have played a few online vs. games since the update, and I like the defensive side of the puck even less now. It seems like guys can deke their way in quite easily, despite coming nearly to a stop at some points. I think this is the most un realistic part of the game now, and stick lifting and poke checking have now become penalty magnets. That's ok by me, but give me some way to defend. Getting in front of a guy and not committing seems to be the only way now.

Here is what I'd like to see next year in terms of defense.

1. If a player isn't moving, or is moving slowly, especially in the offensive zone, you should be able to put him on his butt. If a guy comes dipsy doodling in, left/right/stop/go then if I get close to him, at least let me tie him up. Defense is so much about body position. Yes sometime forwards will get around defensemen, but that usually has more to with speed and momentum and less to do with deking. If a guy ends up right in front of my defenseman, I want gloves to the face, and be able to harrass the guy.

2. Have players that do not have a good deke rating lose the puck if they are going for ridiculous dangles.

I have had my fun with this game, not really feeling it anymore and I'm going to trade it in on MW2.

Yeah, because there won't be anyone cheating or using modded controllers in that game !

clear your cache, when you play the game again it will tell you there is an update...do not update

you won't be able to play online, but you can play the original game, i still am...

yes, but then you can't conenct to live, the idea of the update is for the online folks, it eliminates/reduces "cheese"

They mentioned in the patch notes that the whole Pressing Saucer pass before you get the puck won't automatically dump the puck once you touch it was fixed...

Meh, I'm ok with the cheaters. If that's how they get off, I say go for it. I usually only have to play one game, post some negative feedback and I never see them again. I didn't come across any cheaters in NHL 10, I guess I just played the * out of NHL 09 and I'm just done with the game and experience now. I didn't play MW1 so I'm hoping I'll have some more fun with the new one that I will with NHL10.

Hoping NHL10 and COD WAW should get me a trade in!!

i play online and i don,t know what they did with passing system but it realy not fun, i would try to feed an open player no presure an easy pass and the puck would miss the target by a mile... even if i move the stick in the right direction that is completly unrealistic a nhl player would never miss a pass like that. insted of altering the passing system witch i think was ok before you guys should work on the defensive ai insted and pass are still to weak need to be faster.

and the brakeaways i can never have a easy clear one the defender somehow have a sudden boost to catch up to you even if you are the faster skater in reality.
