So I tried to make my own version of Jack Dempsey. For those of you who have no idea who he is, Dempsey was a boxer from Manassa, Colorado who held the world heavyweight title from 1919 to 1926. Generally considered one of the the most popular champions of the modern era, and one of the greatest power punchers that ever donned the gloves, Ring Magazine had him 7th on a list of the 100 greatest boxers in history. The reason I tried to make my own version of Dempsey is I've found the few created out there to be too inaccurate. It seems they paid little to no attention to who the boxer was, what he was like. Though I'm only 20, I like to think I am somewhat educated on Dempsey.

I focused on a few things, as far as his stats go. First, his power. To give an idea of how powerful a puncher he was, when he met Jess Willard in 1919 for the title, he beat Willard by corner stoppage in the third. Willard suffered a broken jaw, broken cheekbone, broken ribs, loss of a few teeth, and partial hearing loss in one ear. The man had bricks in his gloves (ironically, one man charged that Dempsey did exactly that, loaded his gloves. This has been refuted).

Another thing that sets Dempsey apart is his movement, particularly his head movement. There is even a move named after him, the Dempsey Roll, in which he would weave side to side, using his momentum created by his body to throw all his weight into his shots, thus putting even even more power into his punches.

I tried to take these things into account, as such, you'll notice his extremely high head movement, as well as his power in both hands.

I also tried to be as historically accurate as possible. Dempsey was well known for often wearing black attire, lack of a robe, and no socks. Some of you would know Mike Tyson adopted this during his career. I tried to get his bio correct, though I couldn't get his weight exact (Dempsey was one of the lighter heaveyweights). As far as visuals go, he wasn't completely ripped, most boxers weren't back then, so I avoided that. I did my best to get his hair, facial hair, eyebrows, and chest hair as close as I can. The face isn't spot on, though the EA systems weren't too keen on letting my upload photos of him, I just couldn't get it to work.

I got the best looking Mayweather on the PS3 but I'm not sharing it. Sorry The pictures I took look kind of suspect on the Panasonic tv but I took a close up of the 3 I made in the boxer edit menu. The first one is a lightweight version the other two are welterweight with different outfits. I tried my best to overcome the skin tone issues with the pics I used that's why I have more than one that I've made. I think I'm one of the sickest with making cabs providing I have a decent front and side photo.
