i am a keen tigerwoods lover and a very keen golfer of a low handicap.
my suggestion is that there is a few things you could do to make the game as closer to golf as possible such as
1.take away the spin the player can do while the ball is in flight.he should only be able to make the spin before the shot such as putting a point on golf ball on how he wants ito spin.
2.let the player see the break of the green before he takes his approach shot,so he knows what type of spin he needs to do, and where is the best place to put the ball on the green.
3.let the player know what the trajectory of his shot is going to be as you can tell in real golf if you are going to get over or under a tree with different shots.
4.out of bounds and hazard markers should be seen as well,so the player knows if it is worth risking a shot, cause as you know, out of bounds is a retaken shot and hazard is nearest point of relief.
5.it would be great also if augusta was on the game and the ryder cup tourney as well.
6.another thing is tiger being able to choose his wedge when he is on the putting green. as this angers me cause my friends use the wedge when they are on the green with a really nasty putt.
i really do enjoy the game but these are a few things i would love to see on the game.

By far the best version of the game to date. Sure, nothing will capture the "new car smell" magic of the first three versions (including the original one with those INSANE greens!), this game is a s fun as it always have been. There's so much that it does right. The yearly changes are hit and miss (time traveling Tiger, historical scenarios, etc), but every year the game gets just a bit better. TW10 is the smoothest, tightest, most satisfying version of this game for me. I've owned over 11 different versions of the game going all the way back to the first one on the PS1, spanning the PS2, the Wii, the PC, and now the PS3. Yeah, it's the same ol' same ol' game. But this version feels as fresh as it has ina very long time.
The changes that were posted in the "BrainStorming" by the fans are fantastic. I don't agree with all of them (who cares what I think anyway?), but the idea that suggestions from the fans are being compiled and listened to is great!
That being said, here's my two cents on improving on this great game.
TV style presentation - it works so well in Madden. And golf is WAY more of a TV sport than football. Where are the updates via highlites? The updates via graphic pop-in is a belated but great start sure. But these video highlights could come in between holes or be picture-in-picture in between swings. Just little 5 second bang-ins: "Garcia knocks it stiff on #10 to set up a birdie, moving to T3 (-5), just two back!" Show the end of the highlight and a mini-leader board. (I won't pile on the announcers. Kelly and SVP are funny as hell. And it was great to see them revisiting their old TGC days. Honestly, I'll blame the scripts, the directing and the programming on their shi**y announcing. Seriously, how was the producer at that read happy with what he/she heard during those sessions?)
Stats - Sports fans, gamers and sports gamers love us some stats. And golf is a crazy stat intensive game! EA does a great job with career stats, via the resume. And a decent job with season stats. But tournament stats are non-existent (Hole 11 this tournament Birdie-Par-Eagle; -4 front nine, +1 back nine). Historical course stats that pop in via lower thirds would be great too. (For example: In 12 rds played, player is -14 on the par 5s)
What I feel is great about all three of these suggestions is they are all completely doable in the year 2010. Is a successful course editor on a console? Are Fight Night Rd 4 models doable in 2010? Or realistic looking galleries?

As it was with the o9 version, I am unable to swap the the analog swing from the left side toggle to the right side. I simply do not get the same enjoyment from the three click swing, so I abandoned the 09 version for the 08, and it appears that I will probably return the 10 for this reason.

I had a PS2 for my previous TW games. The character you played looked like the character you made. Now I have a PS3 for TW10. The character I made looks fine, but when you play them they tend to have "racoon" eyes. I think this is a matter of lighting but it wasn't a problem in previous games. I've done as much as I can to brighten the eyes. Any suggestions?

I think the putting in this version is the worst I've ever seen. You shouldn't be able to roll an uphill putt passed the hole 10' on a 25' putt or 20' by the hole on a 50' putt with a neg. elevation change of only 4" when you hit them perfectly. Retarded.

My impression of this long running series is i really enjoy the game and all its features. My only concern is to EASPORTS why cant you make the game more realistic, no professional out there can hit a -24 to -28 in real life, so why is it possible in the game. Real Golfers strive for the best equipment technology to enhance their game, which is fine, but the still only get to about -12 to -15 at best in a real round. So why cant you make your game similar, let people buy the best controllers etc but make the game harder so they can get this kind of score. you must definately bring out a handicap tournament where people normally hit a level par round have a chance against people against -10, and as you know real handicap golfers their handicap adjusts depending on their round. or is this to difficult for your programmers. this will also give all gamers play better and more of a chance.

Been trying to get game face to work for weeks. Really disappointed. Asked for a refund since this was the only reason I bought TW 10 they basically told me good luck. Crap company! I have the last 5 years of TW. I'm done I will not buy another EA game.
