Hi all, I've been playing off-line for about a week and getting better, enough so none of my friends will play with me, and the AI gets a bit boriing. I prefer baseline play with created characters, and I don't mind losing too much since that's how I learn. I'd love to play with some baseline buddies who are maybe a bit patient with how many backhand shots I hit out - I'm working on it, I promise!

Prefer created characters, have a hard enough time as it is!

I play as roddick. I love to rally but I do come to the net occassionally. I think the volleying in the game could do with tweaking. Those with a gold vollying ability can blanket the net from the middle of the court. Its almost impossible to pass them. Its a little too unrealistic. Having said that I find it really hard to volley down the line.

But those of you who play as nadal and adopt a mid court baseline position and just react to your opponents shots with no anticipation skills. I find you guys really annoying just as equally as the extreme volleyers. Nadal defends well because he has brains and anticipates his opponents shots. He doesnt stand their and simple play fetch. He should be tweaked for the next game.

Bump

Haven't been on for the last month or so, but I've been active the past couple of days, so I figured I'd bump the thread for those new to the forums that would be interested in some baseline matches. Feel free to PM me about a time for a match, or add my msn.

Anybody in this thread can feel free to add me in game. I play 99% of my points from the baseline with the occasional finishing at the net.

EA Nick = Gotaplanstan as well

I just broke into the top 100 a few days ago, but still struggle against T campers hence still in the mid 90s. And I've also been working on a defensive baseliner who's almost finished (my main is an offensive baseliner and I have a maxed s&v'er too but haven't enjoyed him as much). Thats a little background on me GST wise in case anybody cares lol :p

I'll be online for most of this evening if anyone wants a game in the next couple of hours. I notice you're online Gotaplanstan so how about a match?

I'm so low ranked that I don't have a rank, but add me anyway: LordHolloway. I'm a baseliner.

Thanks for the game Gotaplanstan, it was a very tough but enjoyable match and I look forward to more matches with you in the future. It was a shame about the first serve bug (I'll make sure to serve first next time), but otherwise we had a good connection.

It was a little shaky at times on my end (with double racquet hits making it hard to read shot direction, and teleporting, but not too often) but yes good connection overall other than the serve bug. It made it super hard to get into my own service games and get any rhythm or momentum going after I broke you or made you play a tough service game (this was my biggest problem). Hopefully that'll change next time :p I look forward to playing you again
