No. It will probably only be better for control, community, squadplay/tactics and support.

Most people just want the amazing realistic experience of a consistent high framerate, better graphics for those without a good PC graphics card and experience.

I'm with the console version. Because like most players, my laptop would die and run the game at like 2fps if i tried to play this amazingly detailed game on it.

Im just want better for control, community, squadplay/tactics and support, NO red markers (only minimap), NO kill cam, skilled gameplay like BF2... no colorfull unrealistic facility like ultra fuking low range tank radar ... and... maybe 42 players...

This is better!

All other stuffs, graphics, physics, im seeing... is so coollll.... perfect ! I will love play this game!!!

Sorry my english!

Wow, quite a mixed bag of emotion here...

we've got a PC vs. Console debate, an I WANT PRONE debate, and just incessent trolling in between

its simple everyone, considering the frostbite 2 engine is still quite new (relatively speaking), there are a lot of limitations and bugs to get ironed out. Player limit and prone are just the most apparent.

I'm pretty sure the reason why prone has been disabled is because they are having trouble with the colision detection, which can range from cheesey exploits like looking/firing through walls, and annoying bugs like getting shot through an obstacle because your avatar's foot clipped clear through the wall you're on the other side of. Combine that with destructible environment coding and I wouldn't be surprised if there are server crashes and crazy infantry wall-blasting power like the Coolaid Man.

As for PC vs. Consoles....reeeeelaaaaax there's plenty of business to go around, and DICE was bought by EA so that they could afford to mass-produce the BF franchise on multiple platforms simultaneously.

PC players should be thrilled. because the console players are going to spend $10 more per game than us, are not going to need nearly as much support such as having mod support (which makes many a game in my opinion, think of BF1942 without Desert Combat or Pirates!). Their sacrifice will subsidize the PC side, and the PC side will serve as a cash cow for EA/DICE since they know the community is frothing at the mouth for a new true BF game and will clamp down on this like a pitbull with a steak.

Guys. Shut up.

I'll be very, very blunt here.

The situation involving consoles and PCs are fundamentally different in regards to game design, and as such, DICE will likely be approaching each platform individually. That means all three versions will be different in relation to each other, relevant to the capabilities of the platform they are on.

For instance, the PC is a significantly more flexible platform in terms of capabilities offered by the hardware, but also notoriously more difficult to debug due to countless hardware configurations in existence. This drives up the cost of development considerably. (Interestingly, when you consider that the console versions are $59, and the PC versions are $49. How do you offset the cost?)

For the Xbox 360/PS3, you are stuck with a gamepad. Therefore, the control scheme will be significantly different from what you would see in a game on the PC platform. In addition, there are multiple middleware networking systems to take into account (Xbox Live, Playstation Network, and pre-fabricated multiplayer matchmaking solutions) when coding the hosting backend. Fortunately for game developers, the consoles' hardware configuration rarely changes, so the development costs are curbed considerably.

This is why the PC has been regarded as the superior platform in terms of technological capacity in comparison to consoles. You don't have to deal with Xbox Live or PSN, and you most certainly don't have to worry about implementing (or porting from the console, god forbid) draconian, dumbed-down matchmaking systems like a certain other "influential", hot-selling modern FPS. Oh, and PCs can be upgraded for a fraction of the cost of a single PS3.

My point is, the console and PC versions will have fundamental differences thanks to the differences between the PC and console hardware, interface (gamepad/keyboard), networking (XBL/PSN/Straight Internet) and other mechanics to account for.

The reason DICE is putting just as much effort into the PC platform as any other is because they are fricking SWEDES. Okay? They'd like to give love to the people that made them big in the first place - and that's the PC. They aren't gonna halfass this game for either platform.

So stop crinking and just be happy they're giving the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 versions a healthy dose of hot swedish love.

console games have to pay a fee to microsoft / sony, so that explains the $10 extra; it's not because they want to subsidise the PC players

Gosh I come here to get away from the Modern Warfail 2 BS, and see even MORE BS...I have nothing against any friggin platform AT ALL, I am a hardcore PC gamer though and am VERY happy to have DICE make BC2 for PC as well this time. I'm sure you are all aware of the sh!tstorm on the MW2 forums cause of no dedi's and such and the boycott, (which I support), but all I can say is...wow...console players wont buy a game cause of no prone in the game?...ffs...Who gives a shite as long as its not the screwed up P2P matchmaking BS of MW2...that game is such an EPIC FAIL...Be gratefull that DICE is gonna bring a quality game like BC2 to all platforms instead of the sh!tty mess that IW just released LOL

No Prone complaint = very petty...

MW2 with NO, Dedicated Servers, Console, Lean, Mods, P2P and proprietary Matchmaking AND 60 bucks! = Monster F**K OVER

Could not agree more.

BC1 is a total blast to play, yet has no prone. So where's the problem? Meh, personally I think some people are simply unhappy unless they have something to whine about.

And to the guy who says ' I wont buy it unless it has prone' ... go buy MW2 then ! It does have prone.

Go on, shoo, git going.... at least then you will have something real to complain about

BF:BC2 for the wii i say! Its not fair that all the se><box and PS3 gamers get BC2 and us hardcore console wii gamers get left with nothing but animal crossing and EA playground.

I payed considerably less for my console than xbox and PS3 owners. HOWEVER I deserve no I DEMAND that I get Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with as many features and player counts! Just because I bought a cheaper alternative I still should get as much as you guys...

I believe that is totaly biased that due to the hardware restrictions on my console that I have to live without features that could totally cripple my gaming experience. Hell my wii doesn't run anywhere near HD video so I rekon that it might be a bit hard to see the ammo count and things but I still think that EA and DICE should spend hundreds of thousands of dollars developing it for the hardcore wii players like myself (not that there are that many of us).

I mean sure EA or DICE could give us a game that runs well, plays well and looks great BUT I'd rather try and get all the options you xbox and PS3 gamers are getting even though it will probably totally cripple the game play!

And in closing I would just like to say that for fps games wiimote and nunchuck > ghey * controllers!
