, dont think you are dropping some sort of lost knowledge.. i know what they made the vids for .. the execution ,lack of production was totally off.. and they quickly recognized that.. fall back.

hahaha, this dude said "lack of production"..wow...so explain lack of production to us homie???? Gotta love the EA forums, no wonder EA is falling...they did not "quickly recognize that". EA just said lets give the dumb ones a quick video showing simple boxing to shut them up...lol

I was harder than anyone on Brizzo and his team prior to the drop of FNR4. I thought FNR4 looked ridiculous.

1. the fighters footwork was garbage, they looked like were skating across the ring
2. the punch animations looked awkward and not very realistic
3. the knock down animations were laughable
4. the amount of punches you could throw in a round consecutively in online games was ridiculous
5. the different body styles they gave looked retarded (You could have a LW fighter that looked bigger than a MW)
6. the inside fighting wasn't realistic at all and seemed to be more of a gimmick than anything (you could stick to your opponent even after they supposedly patched the game)
7. to customize your CABs visual features was very limited

But all in all FNR4 was still fun if you were playing against the right people.. Single player got really boring and repetitive. So you were stuck with a game that the only time it was fun is when you were fighting people who actually wanted to play the game the way it was meant to be played.

I think this game is going to be the same thing, when you get online you can't control the style your opponent is going to use. So when they playing the game unrealistically and are still effective don't be surprised. We're watching someone play against the CPU the way we want to see the game played.. That still doesn't mean this game doesn't have it's cheezy * like FNR4.

Aside form all that, I'm looking forward to this game and have seen good things. There are still some things I think you guys are over looking which would make this game a lot better. I still think we need a footwork modifier to give your boxer a extra hop in his step (but also using the modifier will effect your stamina as the fight goes on). The fighters to me still also look like they're skating across the ring, but they do look better than in FNR4

The new punch animations look great, and the lunging punches look a lot better than FNR4. So far I see a lot more improvements than not which is a good thing. Keep up the good work guys.

Any official word on the LIGHTING? Apart from "some venues are well lighted and others are not". I really do not want to hear that its a stupid excuse.

The game itself is looking good just sort the lighting out.

loved the vid, but move the knockdown replays to in between rounds in a patch. There should be replays of good combos and solid shots too.

jazzBRO

Do the slide steps cost more stamina in FNC than they did in FNR4 ?
Did you fix the skating abuse from FNR4?
If yes, how?

And tx for the videos the game looks very good!

Haglers punches look dangerous, love the left hook knockdown straight to the chin, perfect.

My thoughts added here after replying twice on another thread and not seeing the post show up on EA's broken forum, which EA has been promising fix for months now, ( just like fixing FN4 on PS3, very frustrating)

The problem is that every fighter looks the same. In this latest video Hagler and Hearns style is essentailly the same, apart from differences in height. Both fighters throw looping punches despite being completely different in real life.

By looping I mean the elbow is held high and at 45 degrees to the body and level with the shoulder, even when 'in-fighting'. When in-fighting there are no elbow held close to the rib cage to
a. Protect from counter body punches
b.Create short snapped crisp punches and jabs

I just see a modified FN4 with changed gameplay ( still no individual styles), less counter windows, and added commentary to what we already have. This in addition a reduced roster and Champion storyline. If there's another video I missed please let me know???

Looks solid, but I guess I'm one of the few people who actually loved FNR4 and didn't really have any complaints with regard to the fighting itself...so I'm not going to assume that FNC is superior based on a video. Let me play the demo first.

I do have a question though. As stamina is region specific now, does that mean that you can wear your opponent's stamina down in that particular region as well? In other words, the torso has its own stamina now. So, logically, a relentless body assault should wear down the torso stamina more than the arm stamina. Conversely, if you keep pounding away at someone's arms, they should be arm weary in the late rounds. Does anybody know about this?

Thanks, keep up the good work EA.

Punching animations look a bit better but the fighters still look like they fight the same. No real variation form what I saw. Plus the cutscenes really detract from this game IMO, would've been nice to see the ref move Hagler to a neutral corner and start the count. This game screams for realtime in the worst way. Also would like to see a more ruckus and loud crowd when a fighter is hurt or goes down instead of that lame annoying train whistle sound. That's just stupid. A boxing crowd should be at a fever pitch when a guy is hurt or goes down, that's how it is in real life. I'll wait for the demo, but so far I gotta say I'm not all that impressed with this video.
